Jane: How either of us feels isn't going to change the end result, is my point.
Jake: You can still want to date him. It's okay to want something you can't have.
Jake: I've found ignoring what you want generally doesn't make those desires go away.
Jake: You just have to accept you want something, and over time you get used to it, and then you don't want it so much anymore.
Jake: But forcing them back. That doesn't work. You just get frustrated, and it sucks that much more.

Jane: And did you say Ryder's parents like stopped talking to him when they found out he had two boyfriends? It's a scary thing, Jake.
Jake: Yes, my mom knows you exist.
Jake: But she doesn't live in the city, and you and I have only really been dating a couple months. Kurt was dating Adam before I even met you.
Jake: Kurt's not Ryder. And Kurt's dad isn't Ryder's parents. Ryder's parents live in right-wing central, and are obsessed with what their neighbors think.
Jake: Ryder's parents are assholes.

Jane: I meant more because his dad lives in town, so idk if he'll be there or not.
