True Blue
@saikurisuto (class rep)
Practices had been mediocre lately -- simply because Manami knew how to avoid exercising like a mad-man, and skipping as much as he could... or if anything, he’d take his bicycle and climb up the mountains instead of doing the rollers as Izumida told him to. With a new captain came new rules; Fukutomi was not someone to go out verbally as much as Izumida... and without Arakita on his neck all the time, it had been really easy-going. No on to constantly call him names and make him work hard, it was almost like a walk in the park. But, Sangaku was aware to not push his limits with the new team and keep on their good side as much as possible -- it was not hard though, a little charming prince-like smile here, a little airhead-ish comment there, and they were like pudding in his hands, melting in the summer sun’s heat.
On his stroll around, he was heading back to the school’s property, having his heads in the clouds, he did not take note of a person walking out from behind a mural -- he had to hit the brakes hard in order to not have him collide with that female student. “Uwah!” The blue-haired male exclaimed as he leaned forward on his bicycle, almost falling over from how hard he had to brake, but alas, he took note of that familiar face and the two braids each side over her shoulder, accompanied with the whole megane-look.
A sheepish smile appeared on his face as he leaned his arms onto the handlebar of his bicycle, tending his head curiously. “Ehhh... class rep... don’t you know to look left and right before crossing a street?” The boy teased, knowing very well that he was the one daydreaming and not paying proper attention to real life... but that was just his way of talking to people. Sitting upright again, he wiped sweat off his face and grabbed for his water bottle; he could refresh himself a little while he already hit the brakes, he really was not interested to talk much right now, being too focused on training, but alas, he would let her ramble as usually and then take off. No big deal. “You’re still in school? Most clubs already ended, right? Or are you taking extra lessons?” He was not dumb -- she was probably here, trying to catch him and talk to him. Just like she’d go all the way to InHigh and cheer for him, even though she really was not interested in bicycles... what a weird girl.
Placing his water bottle back into its holder, he decided to wave to her and move along. “Well, can’t chit-chat, Izumida-san will be mad at me if I am not back at the club room in time~ hehe...”
