now that xabi alonso’s playing career is drawing to a close, maybe he can become what he’s always secretly been on the inside: that one girl in your introductory photography class whose portfolio submissions are always just “contemplative” shots of her own feet. 

for some reason, “feet” have been the single most constant theme of xabi’s social media oeuvre. above are some random shots xabi shared while out and about over the years, but his favorite artistic composition was a selfie of his feet with a stadium in the background, after a major accomplishment:

for anyone getting into real madrid, this is probably a super basic suggestion but you should check out RM Play, their streaming platform! it's free and they run two live channels (one in spanish, one in english) that usually feature like 3-5 old games a day. the games are pretty much just championship finals but tbh there's plenty of those to watch across all the different competitions rma's won, lol. really easy way to watch some iconic club moments without having to go hunt down the games yourself
