What’s got you so stuck with McGonagall’s work? I finihsed that a few hours go
Well , not to sound all full of myself but I have been told that I’m prettttty fantastic company ––––––– ah , i’m not really sure . I mean , I understood the basic principle of what we learned in class but I can’t seem to apply to the homework . What about you ? What’s got you here after hours ?

She didn’t make a move to pick it up- honestly, she knew that it will be there if she needed to throw it againa at her friend. ‘ Hey, at least their head of the house appreciates my talents.’ she said frankly, but it sounded like a joke- she knew that if there was someone who saw how Slughorn treated Marlene, someone who loved brewing Potions, she understood the small line. ‘ I actually drank from Marcus’ watter bottle yesterday…’ she trailled off with a innocent shrug of her shoulders. ‘ So who knows? Andromeda Black, another one who had to tolerate as he grinded his teeth against saying something stupid. Their families were part of the elite and therefore, there was some unspoken rule of civilized conduct. “How dramatic,” resisting the urge to take a jab at the ridiculous notion. The sound of fucking paper wasn’t like a drill; hell, if these people could take incessantly boring lectures, then the noise he was creating was nothing more than a faint whisper. At the mention of wasteful, he quirked an eyebrow, amused. As if a little paper was going to kill the world. “So you give a damn about the environment, quite cute and quaint of you,” the word distastefully rolling off his tongue. Being as rich as Lucius was, purchasing paper like water was easy.
sharp and short is the laughter that parts andromeda’s lips , more of a snigger or a brief chuckle than anything else . dramatic . that was new . well , new-ish . a term more often than not used to describe either of her siblings , both younger and older . but irritation / frustration gave way to little patience , she supposed , and in turn gave way to slight outbursts of a somewhat dramatic nature ––– for which they both had her impossible fucking homework to thank , by the way . a snarky response follows the slight rolling of the eyes and a pursing of her lips ––– she’s brought it down to mere subtle dramatics , see ? ❛ yeah , well there’s nothing like being born and raised in the states to make a girl’s heart truly ache for our slowly dying planet ––– tú sabes ? ❜ curiosity , and very slight curiosity at that , quirks at her left brow , laces her words . ❛ what’s got the masterly malfoy making miniature mountains over there anyways ? ❜

Narcissa seemed to relax, her shoulders lowering as her sister spoke once more. “I don’t know what you’re talking about” she murmured at her sisters catch of the prudish comment she’d previously made. Not unlike Bella, she knew how to put her foot in it sometimes. Think before you speak, their mother always told her. But did she? No. Narcissa started to peel the skin off a grape with her teeth as her sister spoke. It was a silly quirk, something ultimately pointless as she popped the entire piece of fruit, separate skin and body, into her mouth to chew on. She made a noise of agreement, nodding her head. “Sí, something like that” she said. “And yet we have to play nice because they somehow still have dinero and affluence,” she muttered, clearly peeved by this. She snorted at the thought though. Of how embarrassed Mr. Malfoy must be since the war. Of how he tried to keep up with their father, Cygnus Black. “Dromeda. Do you remember that dinner we had once? Con the Carrows, Malfoy’s, Lestranges. How embarrassed did he look when Papi apartado his theory on the fall of the first war?” she asked. Narcissa chuckled. She’d only been young then but had remembered the red cheeks Mr Malfoy had sported for the rest of the evening.
❛ such are the woes of the pureblood elite ❜ her tone is crafted of equal parts amusement and disdain . playing nice , playing by unspoken rules spun of ancient etiquette and ancient traditions . truly , easier said than done at times ––– believe it or not . narcissa’s words draw a vivid memory to her mind , and a lively chuckle from her lips . her homework sits nearly forgotten before her as the two siblings converse . reminisce . simply take enjoyment in one another’s company . ❛ howwww could i forget that ? i think i’ve got the image of his rosy face saved into the ‘ favorites’ folder of my memory . un tomate rubio . ❜ her chuckle gives way to an easy smile as she rests her temple upon a curled fist , gaze somewhat thoughtful as it meets narcissa’s . ❛ must be awful though . could you imagine , if it was us ? not that it ever would be us . not in a million years . but hypothetically ? ❜
