Wine isn’t strong enough. It’s blood I want.
Henry Miller; A Literate Passion, the Letters of Anaïs Nin and Henry Miller
ARTHUR.
Arthur nodded once, slowly standing up while he reached into his jacket pocket for a lighter and his packet of cigarettes. He had a sickening feeling in his stomach, a reminder of his wife and he could not pinpoint what it was. Was it the black dress? Her red lips? Perhaps the sound of her voice that churned his stomach and made thoughts of his ex-wife Martha flood his brain.
He opened up his arm in gesture, “After you.” Appearances can be deceiving, and after all, this was not his wife. His wife was dead. He made sure of that. The couple of whiskeys that he drank seemed to burn in his throat. He stepped outside, the cold crisp air catching on his face. Arthur glanced down at the packet in his hand and pulled out two cigarettes, handing one to the woman while placing the other between his lips. He lifted the lighter, flicked it once, and ignited his cigarette before passing it to the other.
“What brings you to this place tonight?”
Blythe watched the man with mild interest, he was well dressed, appeared to be put together, though there was a soberness to his demeanor as if an air of melancholy hung over him. Inevitably as she walked along with him, her gaze drifted lower to the pulsing vein at his jugular. And she could feel her fangs just lightly poking at the inside of her mouth, it was annoying really she couldn’t just indulge in anything, or anyone without being so acutely aware of the lingering bloodlust that seemed insatiable. She really hoped it was an age things, she remembered one of the many vampire she’d met this last year telling her it was typically harder for newborn vampires to maintain control. She really hoped she would grow out of it sooner rather than later. For the sake of her own sanity, and the humans she wanted to snack on of course.
She took the offered cigarette, taking it between her lips and lighting it for herself. She’d smoked enough joints to know how it was done, tobacco hadn’t ever been all at that appealing to her though she could appreciate the aesthetic of it. “Probably the same reason as everyone else. Looking for an escape from something or another. Isn’t that what we all want now and again?” She asked.
Arthur.
Time: 9:17pm Location: A bar in Ballard Status: Open
Did Arthur have a drinking problem? No. Did he spend every night where possible, when he was not busy with work, drinking at the local bars just to have some of company for the night? So that he was not deep in his own thoughts, as he often was, thinking about his mistakes and what led him to be in such a place in the first place? Yes.
Arthur sat by the bar and took a deep solemn breath, swirling the whiskey glass in his hand. He glanced over at the seat beside him - he had found company tonight, and as usual their face will be forgotten just as quickly. The company never stays after one night. Still, it was company, and one he was grateful for, as it made him forget his troubles, for a time.
“Do you smoke?” he asked the person beside him, downing his drink in one. He was in desperate need of a cigarette.
The dark smudgy liner, the dark red lips, and curve hugging black dress was all entirely intentional, tonight wasn’t just about having a good time it was about getting lost and drowning out the world by whatever means came by the fastest. Blythe had always found comfort in the crowds that could be found in night clubs and bars where the drinks flowed freely though these days it was as much about satiating her hunger, as it was about disappearing among strangers, with whatever concoctions further helped her lose herself further.
The alertness and sharpened presence of mind that came with being a vampire was far worst than the bloodlust for Blythe most days. Drinking away her rich girl sorrows was now a lot harder than it used to be. Siting at the bar she was down five drinks and still felt only slightly buzzed. Being mostly dead, undead or whatever was the worst. She’d been about to pin down the bartender for number six when the voice caught her attention. She turned to the stranger, the corner of lips upturning. “Perhaps, just one wouldn’t kill me.” She answered, the irony of her words not lost on her.
Carmine.
“Valentine’s Day is your favourite?” He raises his brow at both her statement and the teddy bear she holds. Although he’s only spent so much time around the young vampire, he didn’t exactly have her pegged as the type to favour the holiday. Her birthday, maybe. Or, Christmas. In the end, Carmine sets the decoration down, decidedly unimpressed by the trinket. Maybe he should leave decorating to someone else like he had for the holiday season. “Now that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.” He takes a step away from the table, looking over at the next shelf over before he asks: “I assume you’ve already found your way into the night clubs our kind favour, then? Or are you still taking things slowly as you learn to manage?”
“Hmm, maybe not my favorite, but definitely in the top three.” She corrected after giving it a second thought. “I’m guessing valentines day wasn’t even a thing in your day, so the novelty of it is lost on you?” She asked raising an eyebrow, amused yet again by the thought of just how old he really was. Though perhaps it’d cease to be so once she accepted that she too would possibly live for several more lifetimes than the average person. “One or two...” She said in response though she kept her attention on smelling some of the novelty candles lined up on the shelf before her, all in various shades of red and pink. Really she’d only ventured into one, and hadn’t gone back as of yet. Not prone to putting herself in situations of discomfort. Sometimes it felt like the closer she got to embracing the supernatural world the further away she drifted from her human life, despite her lack thereof one.
Many things interested her, and nothing satisfied her entirely.

Serena.
time: 10:02AM status: open location: pomegran(ate) cafe
— she had just survived the morning rush of customers. after a sleepless night of heisting serena seemed to need coffee the most. the bell rings and footsteps can be heard from the front of her shop. a sigh of relief at the familar face "fancy seeing you here.“ she allows a smirk to form on her face before placing the small menu on top of the counter. the shop fell silent between them besides the wonderful fast paced world outside the shop. "you’re later than usual. you off today?" being nosey worked for serena ( her thieving lifestyle would become her ) gently pushing a coffee cup towards the other she offers a smile. "unless you need something to go."
Closing off the top button of her overcoat rather than shrugging it off when she entered the coffee shop, Blythe greeted the woman with a wry smile, way to not look at all guilty or suspicious B. Leaning into the counter, but not seating herself on one of the stool she shrugged her shoulders, with a far more relaxed smile now. “It was just one of those nights, you know.” She was still in the clothes she’d been wearing the night before and underneath her coat was a telling pattern of blood splatter of the night’s activities. “Definitely a cup and some pastry to go, I need to get home and take a nap I think.”
Carmine.
“You know, I’ve never really understood the need to overflow everything with a bunch of Valentine’s Day decorations. Or why people think adding more to what they already have is going to make it look any less like clutter.” He receives a glare or two from the other patrons of the craft store, and Carmine grins back at them (cheery, but vaguely threatening all the same) before they look quickly away. Despite what he says, however, there’s an decoration balanced between his fingers, rucksack lazily thrown over his shoulder— he isn’t sure about the bauble yet, but the cafe should be festive for the winter. Though perhaps not with red and pink. That was too much. “We’ve been in this store looking at things for not five minutes and you have glitter in your hair. Nice.”
“I still stand by the fact that when tastefully done, holiday decor can really up the vibes, I’d even say it’s almost essential by this point. Beside valentines was always my personal favorite!” She said squishing the teddy bear she was holding, it wasn’t one of the obnoxiously large ones but still about the size of her torso. It was cheesy as all hell, and the poor thing would likely be forgotten about in a matter of hours but she’d never not bought something she liked. Reaching up to touch her hair when he mentioned the glitter she ruffled some of the long locks carefully before shrugging. “Wouldn’t be the first time.”

faceclaim: hande ercel
this character is played by writer ally | ally’s tag | blythe ozdemir ’s tag
introduce yourself name & pronouns & a little blurb about yourself?
hello everyone, i’m ally (she/her), and i have three adorable cats, and this past summer i started my own online business creating customized products, such as home and party decor, and i also dabble in some graphic design creating logos and other branding materials for other business!
describe yourself as a writing partner are you laid back? incredibly enthusiastic?
as a partner i’m typically really chill, and like to keep an open line of communication. you don’t need to ever apologize for delays and what not but if you want just let me know if you’re busy and unable to get to something in the usual time it takes you, as that’s usually how i go! there are days where i favor shorter interactions (i find myself missing the rapid replies from back in the day cause the more i think about it the more i feel like they really helped things move forward quickly).
my one thing is i often forget to reply to my discord messages (i tend to open them when they come up even if i’m busy, and then when i’m free because the little notification bubble is gone i forgot i had a pending message). so PLEASE nag me, if i don’t say anything for a few hours just give me a nudge, i promise i’ll never ignore you. if for any reason at all i feel like there’s nothing for our characters to do, or that we’re not meshing well i’ll let you know i don’t just ignore people on purpose!
who are your characters? you can use this to quickly introduce your muse(s)
i’ll be playing blythe ozdemir (hande ercel fc), she is a baby vampire who was your typical spoiled mean girl back in the day, though she chilled out a little after highschool with her hormones no longer raging, though still had her narcissistic tendencies but dying and then coming back has given her some perspective so she’s trying to be a better person, and vampire these days.
plot ideas what types of plots would you like to see for your character(s)?
i’m still figuring this out honestly, though definitely want to see how she can become more entangled in the seattle spn community, and find more meaningful relationships (of all kinds) than she’s had previously. basically complications and angst, is what i’m here for!
wanted dynamics what type of relationships would you like for your character?
friends or enemies she had growing up that she fell out of touch with that knew what she used to be like. maybe they could’ve been supernatural and she didn’t even know it.
the vampire who turned her, i’m open to all sorts of possibilities to what their relationship is like.
exes, past hook ups, other entanglements of this sort, they’re always fun. she is mostly straight i think (she might surprise me who knows) but has definitely experimented in the past.
a vampire whose helping her get her blood lust under control, cause she really is trying to not kill people by accident anymore.
new friends she’s made in the supernatural community.
someone who doesn’t like her simply cause she’s a vampire cause their kind doesn’t like her kind, though she doesn’t really get the spn world politics yet so she’s just like ???
she throws and attends a lot of parties so, party friends, or just drinking buddies, anything along these lines she likes to have a good time.
honestly i’m open to whatever!
present headcanons what is your character(s) doing in the present?
these days blythe is mostly consumed with getting a handle on her bloodlust and figuring out the supernatural community. she’s always been kinda lonely and getting turned into a vampire has just isolated her further from the few people she did have in her life so she’s just trying to find her place in all this.
do you have any inspirations for your muses ( spotify, pinterest & ect )
here is her pinterest board, i haven’t added much yet cause i was mostly focused on getting my blog up today but you’ll see it grow slowly!
My mum used to say to me ‘you can’t have fun all the time’ and I used to say ‘why not?’ Why the fuck can’t I have fun all the time?
