His lips pressed together as he attempted to hold back another smile. This was terrible for his image, all this cheery smiling. Still, the pup was funny in her own way and he appreciated that. āThey are quite fresh, I assure you,ā he promised, the smile breaking through to become a grin. āBaked them this morning.ā
One hand moved to motion toward the stairs, his head bowing ever so slightly toward her. āPlease, I understand this may be odd considering the circumstances, but it is rare I have company.ā Rare was putting it lightly. He never had company that wasnāt business relates, and even then he certainly wouldnāt consider them company.
Her smirk turned into a laugh and a wide, bright smile when she saw Vladās expression. She was more than happy to take him up on his offer now that the air seemed to be cleared of their awkward first encounter, and she was, admittedly, a bit hungry. At his gesture, she headed for the stairs, only looking over her shoulder once to be sure that he was following her.
She hopped up the stairs quickly, and once she reached the upper level, looked around at the splendor that was Vladās home.Ā āWoah, this is your house?ā She didnāt mean to sound so enthusiastic, but it was impressive. It looked like a museum to her, or how she imagined one would look, and she couldnāt help getting distracted by all of the nick knacks and interesting objects.Ā āThis is amazing!ā
He followed behind, a smirk forming at her unabashed awe at his abode. Truthfully, he saw the things around him as pieces of his life, a history fee would ever learn. But a new pair of eyes always saw them as so much more. It always gave him a new sense of enjoyment for his things when another showed such interest.
"Yes, indeed." He answered her question with a grin. He let his pace match hers as she slowed to admire the pieces of his past that lined the walls and more. "I've had quite some time to amass my collection."
