------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steven grips the strap of his bag as he studies the hotel from the outside. He makes out the sign with the reds and oranges from the glowing sky, Camellia. "Hm. Charming." Steven says to himself.Ā Ā Ā
Upon entering, Steven is almost immediately greeted by a shorter woman dressed in a white uniform, which reminds Steven of the typical spa outfits he's seen on television. Her customer-service smile is complimented by how her hair is neatly pulled back into a low bun decorated with a dusty pink flower. "I'm Sara. I oversee all things in the entire lobby area," the woman explains as she leads Steven to an area he assumes his room is in. "If you ever need anything, you can wait down here." she smiles.Ā Ā Ā
Steven nods a reply, "Noted."Ā Ā Ā
According to the key she had handed him, his room was on the second level. Why she stops on the first one, he doesn't know, but in the short time he has known her, Steven trusts her with his life. Idiot, just tell her to take you to your room, Marc tells him, clearly annoyed by this lovely woman just doing her job. Steven catches Marc's eyes as he passes by a glass door and glares at him. "Quiet. She's just showing me around." Steven hisses under his breath. Marc rolls his eyes, clearly worn out from the roughing he got into earlier today with a bunch of pissy teenagers. To Marc's defence, Steven also felt the repercussions of the scuffle they were involved in, being in the same body and all. She's just showing me around; it'll be quick, Steven reassures himself, mainly for Marc.Ā Ā Ā
Sara stops in front of a room with a curtain instead of a door. The room emits warm, pink lighting underneath the curtain, almost inviting. Steven hesitates to walk through, so he turns to Sara for an explanation, who is already looking at him expectantly. She clears her throat.Ā Ā Ā
"We offer a special service exclusive only to this hotel. A⦠massage parlour of sorts," Sara starts. She pulls back the curtain and beckons Steven to enter. Holding his breath, Steven steps into the dimly lit room and is graced with the presence of a group of the most beautiful people he has ever set his eyes on. No one paid him attention except for one of the men. Steven's breath is caught in his throat as he locks eyes with him. His eyes couldn't help but follow the sharp lines of his body, which were easily seen through the white, sheer fabric of his flowy outfit. Down from his sculpted jawline to his protruding pecs and stopping at the ripples of his abdomen. Sara coughs, snapping Steven back from his trance. He feels his face warm up when he realises the man has been watching him the whole time. A slight smirk appears in his mouth as he turns back to continue his conversation with an equally alluring man.Ā Ā Ā
"Do you have a gender preference?" Sara continues.Ā Ā Ā
Steven feels a tinge of embarrassment when all eyes fall on him. He pulls his backpack strap downwards in a feeble attempt to hide from them. "I don't reallyā¦," Steven begins, unable to finish his sentence when he locks eyes with another, the woman nearest to him. Her eyes are a deep brown, not entirely black. They're gentle, so gentle that Steven can almost feel the warmth from her gaze. Atop her head is adorned with the most hair he had ever seen on someone, a flowing mass piled on top in a sea of waves, a few loose curls falling on her forehead. The softness of her round face is a shocking contrast to her outfit. A similar design to what the previous man is wearing, Steven can only describe it as a series of waterfalls falling from her limbs, accentuating her figure. The see-through nature of the dress makes it seem like it is one with her, to the point where Steven can barely tell where the fabric starts and ends.Ā Ā Ā
Sara follows Steven's gaze, smiling at the woman and gives her a knowing nod. The woman responds to the silent signal by nodding back.Ā Ā Ā
She sets her drink down, giving him a quick once-over. He gulps. The woman slowly rises from the sofa, the sheer fabric of the garment easily showing what's underneath. Steven's ears redden when he catches himself staring at her legs, opting to stare at the carpet instead. Despite looking away, he still feels her gaze on him as the atmosphere grows heavy as he listens to her movements. His head is buzzing with a million thoughts, all of them about her. A minute or an hour pass. Steven isn't sure.Ā Ā Ā
After what felt like forever, the woman is only a few feet away from him. He dares a glance up at her.Ā Ā Ā
Once again, he locks eyes with her and is nearly breathless at just seeing her. How she looks up at him sends a shiver down his whole body. Her eyes have a kind of innocence which borders on sickeningly sweet. But the way she carries herself; it drove him crazy. She seems to see through him, through his eyes and into his deepest desires. There was more underneath, one layer away from a completely different person. He wants to explore her mind and, admittedly, also her body. His buzzing thoughts stopped when Sara clasped her hands, the sound pulling him from his thoughts.Ā Ā Ā
She introduces the woman to Steven, then Steven to the woman. He can't pull his eyes from her, all of her. The way her shy eyes dart between Sara and himself, the way her tanned arms cross underneath her chest, the way she slightly tilts her head as she listens to Sara explain something to her, he was being consumed with his thoughts of her. Wait, Sara's explaining something, Steven realises. He looks at Sara, pretending to have listened the whole time.Ā Ā Ā
"Well, Steven, this is yourĀ roseĀ ," Sara says, gesturing at the woman.Ā Ā Ā
She smiles, pushing a hand toward him. "You can just call me Rose,"Ā Ā Ā
Steven tries, and fails, to hide the trembling of his hand as he holds hers in a firm handshake. "Steven," he manages to mumble.Ā Ā Ā
She gives him a puzzled look, which grows into another captivating smile when she realises he hasn't been paying attention to Sara's explanation. "Hope to see you soon, Steven." his name drips with honey as it leaves her lips.Ā Ā Ā
Steven breathes a small 'yeah' as she returns to her seat on the sofa. Without missing a beat, he dashes outside to the hallway. There, he finds himself finally cooling down.Ā Ā Ā
Shortly after, he's joined by Sara, who briefly explains that the phone in his room can summon Rose. Steven quickly dips his head in acknowledgement as he rushes to the nearest elevator, pressing the '2'. He pushes through the small crowd waiting outside, fumbling with the key and barging into his room.Ā Ā

THERES A NOAH VERSION
When bylers say that byler makes more sense in terms of the narrative, although there's lots of little proofs throughout all the seasons, it's mainly due to byler's correlation with the themes of the show.
Stranger Things is all about outsiders, freaks, losers and nerds. From s1, the main characters have been the ones that are bullied and are called names and the show wants us to root for them, sympathise with them etc. This is why Nancy chooses Jonathan over Steve, why the Starcourt Mall is destroyed at the end of s3 and why Eddie is constantly affirmed as a good guy.
M*leven endgame wouldn't make sense in terms of the storyline because the relationship between Mike and El is seen as the 'normal' thing to do.
In Mike's eyes, he's supposed to be growing up and not playing DnD in the basement with his friends for the rest of his life. In order to grow up, he needs a girlfriend, which is why he is dating her instead of just being friends. Finn Wolfhard literally says that Mike wants to be "normal".
On the other hand, El clearly wants a normal life, shown not only by her letters to Mike and the dream world she creates within them (as it could be argued that she was just doing that to ease Mike's anxieties) but also by the effort she puts into waving to people at school even when they don't wave back, as well as imitating the movies she watches in Hopper's cabin in s2. This is also why she wants to be in a relationship with Mike instead of just friends, she feels like she needs to have a boyfriend to be normal and doesn't see any issue with dating Mike.
However, as Eddie says, "conformity is killing the kids". El is clearly having a miserable time with school in California, despite doing her best to fit in and Mike is just a "shitty knock off"- the stark contrast to his Hellfire outfit and airport outfit is insane in both colour and style.
The Wheeler family as a whole is learning that conforming to the nuclear family stereotype is not good for any of them, meaning that El will find more peace and power in being single (as well as being able to learn more about the world) and Mike will be able to defy heteronormativity by being with Will, meaning that it's not only Nancy who breaks that Wheeler family cycle (the one that Jonathan goes off about in his rant to Nancy in s1).
Therefore, byler endgame makes much more sense as the show is about the outsiders, and going against the mainstream.
(Which byler would be as it's a gay ship in a show set in the 80s that hasn't been spoon fed to the audience from the start to make it more palatable as well as the fact that making byler canon would also be breaking up a straight ship).
Do I have your attention yet? Good. What I think happened is that Will died. He was murdered in another timeline and after around a year of learning to use his powers Mike turned back the clock to the last time, he saw Will alive, the initial D&D game. This wouldāve been something of a save point and is why so many important things show up in relations to that game.
At 8:15, Karen stops the game. Will dies after rolling a seven, Mike wanted twenty more minutes. The works. Will leaves and is kidnapped into the upside down. If Mike is the writer here, then Will is acting as the main character. The game is built around protecting Will except itās hitting a point beyond Mikeās control.

all iām saying is that in s5 when el looks over to find mike and will engrossed in a casual but private conversation and smiles softly and a little sadly, im not gonna know what to do with myself

Noah actually KNOWS stuff about s5 now so any time he's answering questions about Byler or Will having powers, I am gonna analyze every little microexpression he makes.
Am I crazy?? Yes. But I am free. And that is what matters.
This literally just murdered my entire family and shit in my bed??? Ouch??
posting "OOMF IS FAMOUS?????" just to keep finn and noahs secret accounts on their toes
noah āseason 4 has me shipping byler more than everā schnapp was told heās gonna be very happy with wills story and you think will moves on š¤Ø
vecna: āitās not my fault you donāt like girlsā
mike: what???? how did you know
vecna: what. i was just quoting you i was gonna say youāre a horrible friend
Melvin vs Byler ending-
If Melvin is endgame: Elās 4 season long independence arc will be abandoned, all of the progress she has made toward becoming a whole person will be stunted because she will forever be tied to the ārandom nerdā she started dating at an extremely young age. Mikeās strange behavior regarding his relationships with El and Will will have all been for nothing, and he will be tied to someone who he views as superior to him, likely insecure forever. Willās queerness will have been used as a plot device to keep the couple together and he will end up alone and sad. All three will be stagnant and likely unhappy.
If Byler is endgame: Elās independence arc will wrap up beautifully, proving to herself and everyone else that platonic and familial love are equally important to romantic love, and she will still have Mike in her corner likely forever. Mikeās strange behavior will all make sense and he will be a beautifully written, complex character who learns that he is deserving of the kind of love that Will has to offer and will have a partner who is his equal in every way. Willās selflessness will pay off, his queerness will be a meaningful part of the story, and he will get a happy ending with his childhood bestie. All three will have grown as people and end up happy.
In case you cared.
What Mike should have said when El was scared he didn't love her without her powers
What Mike said instead š
Mike needs to take some lessons from Alec.
