so like for the past few days i’ve been with my cousins and honestly it’s been such an a+++++ 1000/10 experience
but when we hang out with our???/their friends, all three of us are different.
like they don’t get douchey or anything, but they do say things that are pretty problematic (like... today they kind of joked about rape/laughed when their friend did) and like
for me, my behavior changes a bit too. like typically, when people say things like that, i try my best to muster the courage to step in and be like??? dude??? hey???? that’s not cool???? that’s offensive????? and stuff like that, but when i’m with them, i just kind of mind my own business and stay quiet, which is really bad when it concerns a topic like that.
and like the thing is, now that i’ve taken a psychology class, i know what that is, i’ve learned about social psychology. and i’ve also learned why we act that way, and why we’re less ourselves, but more like the majority.
and like one of the things my psychology teacher said was that now that we’ve learned all these things, that now that we’re aware, we should take steps towards not conforming (in a bad sense) and things like that.
and like, i try my best to follow that, honestly. i try to be very aware of my behavior in groups (and am at times) and like, it’s very interesting and weird (not in a bad wawy) to be aware of your behavior. like it’s a different kind of awareness. and it’s weird because i know why yet sometimes i don’t stop myself like????????

Oh Ahht (AKA Art): A Continuation of On Music
Art is an amazing fucking thing, guys.
I feel like I'm preeching to the choir because Tumblr is a place where art can be seen as anything. Like... I've seen art of a chair made out of computer keyboards. That's art.
You know what else is art?
A lot of fuckin' stuff, man.
Painting? Art. Music? Art. Literature? Art. Film? Art. Video games? Art.
A shoe on a piece of paper?
... Uh...
While I do agree that everyone has their own version of what art really is, and that no one person is wrong about it, I do have to say this:
Something that takes you less effort than taking a shit, in my book, probably wouldn't be considered art.
Unless it's a well-thought-out shit. Then maybe.
What I'm trying to say is that, that's my opinion. I think Minecraft is a work of art, the game and the things people can make with it. Pacman and Pong can also be considered works of art. Classic-ass video games right there.
Whatever you think of as art, don't let someone else tell you you're wrong. Everyone has an opinion. And yeah, sometimes not everyone can be right. For example, some people think it's okay to stalk and kill people then wear their skin to their birthday parties. That is wrong. It may be their opinion that it's right, but they're also wrong about that.
Someone may say that scribbling on a piece of paper like a five-year-old shouldn't be considered art. But think about it; when the camera was initially invented, people said photography wasn't art.
We as humans are running out of ways to express ourselves artistically. Everyone's done a lot of stuff, and it's difficult for a beginning artist to try and see themselves as great if they're just rehashing Van Gogh's art style.
Whatever your passion, whatever you think of as art, do it up. And don't let anyone dictate to you what you think true ahht really is. If you want to do something great and new, that's awesome. Not everyone is brave enough to try.
Good luck and good day,
You-Should-Be-Studying
Holy moly. Sometimes things are staring you right in the face, you know? Why would you look at this Lady?
To quote the article written by someone I'm sure won't mind at all:
[Angitia] was famed for Her ability to heal those who had been poisoned, especially those bitten by snakes, and She was said to have the power to kill serpents through spoken charms.
Since we were talking about expelling poison, you know?
