Arial struggles a little with what to say next. Not only is she still not used to encounters like this yet, but she is absolutely no experience with interacting with someone as awkward as her. Despite this, she didn’t want this encounter to end with him feeling like the guilty party here, if anything its her fault for all of this happening, at least that’s what she thought to herself. After all, she technically isn’t even supposed to be here!
She finally started to speak, or at least tried to, her voice sounding very sincere despite being somewhat staggered as she forced herself to try and say SOMETHING so that he wouldn’t feel this awkward exchange was his fault, but trying to avoid saying her first thought on why it’d be her fault, if anyone’s.
“Its…. No problem, really, i-… its not your fault. I… I’m…” she sighs, “its just as much my fault as it is yours,” she lets out a slightly nerves “heh” and puts a hand on the back of her skull and her gaze shifts down and too the side.
“Its not like i was any better than you where at keeping it from becoming awkward in the first place, you know what I mean?”
Oh goodness... Everything about this encounter was awkward for the both of them... He knew it was awkward for himself, and the other was very obviously uncomfortable... What was he to do about this?
He wanted so badly to just walk on away and act like he didn’t see anything, but he knew that was rude, and quite honestly... He was curious as to what this skeleton was doing here... He hasn’t met any skeletons that weren’t a Sans or a Papyrus before... This was all new to him... And despite the excitement... He was obviously all the nervous and had trouble talking to people without the feelings intruding upon his daily life...
He was going to tell her that it wasn’t her fault... But she beats him to it... And now she placed it at equal blame... But he initiated the conversation and.. He won’t continue to complain about himself being at fault... It’ll only make things worse...
He continues to awkward scratch at his head before replying.. Lights looking to the sky... Bad nervous habits...
* R-right... Just two equally awkward skeletons... Uhh... I, uh, definitely gotcha.. Cause... There’s nothing super weird about someone at least twice your age bothering you...Sorry..
Ah! Dammit! He did it even though he told himself he wouldn’t! Why does his mouth do this to him?!
* S-sorry, what I meant was, uh... yeah... both at fault...you probably had, uh... important things to do... Didn’t mean to impose...
That was good enough conversation ender... right? Everything would be over after this and he could go cry himself to sleep in some dark disgusting corner... This was fine...
