Was the eldest of the Capetians and head of the House of Bourbon from 18 July 1909 to 2 October 1931, who bore the courtesy titles of Duke of Anjou and Duke of Madrid, was the Legitimist pretender to the throne of France under the name of Jacques I and the Carlist pretender to the throne of Spain under the name of Jacques III, from 1909 to 1931.
