What do you think about trans!Jax —aka Daisy— would you include it in your AU's?

Well, well, well... when it comes to Trans Jax, my thoughts are a bit complicated because...

Before anything else, I want to make it clear that I'm not homophobic, nor do I have anything against Goose. This is simply my personal interpretation of the character, and I'm not trying to offend or invalidate anyone else's.

In my opinion, the idea of Trans Jax wasn't explained very well. To me, it was already pretty clear that Jax is a guy with fragile masculinity—someone who believes that showing emotions or being vulnerable is something girls do, not what a "real man" should do. That's a stereotype.

From my perspective, if the message ends up being that "feelings are for girls," it can unintentionally imply that any man or boy who opens up emotionally or shows vulnerability must actually be a girl. I don't agree with that interpretation.

That's why Trans Jax simply won't be part of any of my AUs. The way I interpret Jax is that he's just a guy with fragile masculinity who struggles to open up emotionally or let himself be vulnerable with anyone. Over time, with the help of Ragatha and the rest of the circus members, he gradually learns that expressing his emotions and being vulnerable aren't signs of being a woman—they're simply normal parts of being human.

(And yes, I like the idea of Jax wearing feminine clothes from time to time, because clothes don't define who you are.)

And as for improving, to me personally it's all about having something you obsess over to the point you want to have the skills to make them LOOK better. Which means taking the time to study anatomy, clothes, color theory and whatnot. The first time I ever got into bunnydoll and by extension TADC, I kept finding ways to slowly ease their designs into my style, while also putting to good use the lessons I've been taught in art school as well as what I've self taught myself prior to that.

So, you gotta find a special interest you want to focus on so bad, it forces you to improve your art and style as a result.

The Surreal Virtual Digiscape: Mafia Of The Rock Opera [ BUNNYDOLL ]

I've finished this a day ago after 8 days straight of working on this and WOOOO FINALLY!! It's a little janky in places but honestly this editing is decent.. maybe. But I can finally take a break and work on my c0mms after a day or two lol.

ALSO this is my celebratory 'piece' for after getting 24k on insta, but since posting this on there, im now otw to 27k-- wtf... Damn.

So, Mafia of the Rock Opera. A bit of better context for peeps here since I've gotten a couple of events thought for this reel: Msfia of the Rock Opera is a sorta musical-ish adventure that loosely gimmicks noir, mafia, rock, and opera together... Even if it doesn't make sense for those things to be together but, that's just the norm of how concepts are blended together in my AU.

To explain what's happening without giving away too many major spoilers (not that there's that much yet, I'm still in need of cooking up proper 'lore' for my AU's adventures), the troupe in this adventure must figure out the 'phantom' operating within the evil!troupe to thwart their plans of taking over the noir metropolis through song. The evils, on the other hand, have got their eyes sighted on Ragatha as a crucial tool for their plans, and there comes their plans to get her to switch sides: Ensuing drama and tension between Jax, Ragatha, J'adore (Evil!Jax), and Rabecca (Evil!Ragatha).

This was originally supposed to be a doodle response to a question sticker way back in my 22k milestone on insta, but then I heard the full song to that one popular segment of El Tango De Roxanne and imagined the whole response as a reel, so... To the one who asked what would TSVD!Jax do when he gets jealous of TSVD!Ragatha getting some attention, well-- here's the result... Most of it.

Is Jax’s backstory in your au similar to the one in canon or different?

No, his is a bunch of different to canon Jax... In some way shape or form.

Here comes some backstory drop:

TSVD!Jax, for one, is filo-aus (filipino (fathers side) + aussie (mothers side)) and he had 8 or so younger siblings; all of which he was the caretaker of in his mothers' stead. His father was a hunter and his mother was a SAHM. Jax has a complicated mix of feelings for his mother that treads between hatred, yearning, and sadness, while he has both hatred and a yearning of admiration for his father.

Though sort of alike the canon in a way, his mother in TSVD relied on him too much to fill in his fathers' role around the house whenever he was away, though she also is always constantly mad at Jax for being just like him whenever he acts out or refuses to go along with her wishes, and she gets even more upset when Jax tries to frequently join his father in his hunting and leaves her alone with his siblings. He laments how his mother has slowly turned into someone so dependent on him as the years and more of his siblings came along and wishes that she used to be the woman she was prior to having any of his siblings. And part of his hatred for his mother also stems from the fact she absolutely hated seeing him crossdress in her clothes and abhorred him from playing dress up/wearing makeup with his siblings and acting even slightly effeminate, ridiculing him and hitting him whenever he doesn't immediately obey her when she says for him to stop.

His father isn't any better-- forcing him to stay back most days and 'listen to your mother, you need to be responsible for your siblings because we won't be', and imposes his view on what a man should and shouldn't be to Jax when he was already at a very young age to sort of understand those things. He sort of views his father in both an adoring way but also not, because that's the only father figure he has in his life who's 'directing him' somewhere. But his father was also somewhat of a drunkard and projects himself onto Jax just as much as his mother does to him-- like I said, he was grooming him into the mindset of what a man should and shouldn't be, and the way he treats his wife in front of his son was no better than his verdicts on true masculinity.

He has 4 younger brothers and 4 younger sisters, of which the latter he was sort of fond of in his own way. Though Jax hated the fact that he was made a second parent to his siblings, despising the pressure and responsibility that was thrusted onto him for a good portion of his life (considering his mother made him 'the man' of the house when his father was away for hours at a time), he cared a lot for his brothers and sisters inspite of his hatred of his parentified role-- his human design I made has him wearing bunny earrings that came from one of his sisters. If he is to be forced to admit one thing he misses in the real world in my AU, it would be his little sisters.

What was your reaction to jax abstracting?

Can't say I was too surprised that it happened, but I wasn't exactly expecting it to be abrupt like that.

Hmm... this may be a stretch, but would this Jax hate his canon version, knowing what we know now?[trying not to spoil stuff in case of others]-🍀

TSVD!Jax would think the canon Jax that abstracted is a wimp and a cowardly tryhard (he would not have fucked with how canon Ribbit was treated I'll be fr). The other canon Jax that got to be trans, on the other hand, he would be very mean over how she dresses/looks but isn't all that overly malicious towards them bcs at least she's living her best life being herself (at least, he'd say it in a way that still sounds mean).

What’s Jax’s relationship with Gangle is like in ur AU?

A complicated mess of things

In short:

- He sees his old self in Gangle and thus despises her for being a reflection of that. While she's partly gotten out of her shell as time went on that she doesn't retain some factors on what made her resemble his old self more, he still kept up this ball and chain dynamic because 'it's fun to have someone to order around'. Gangle chooses to keep the status quo because this is what she has gotten used to and doesn't want to know what else Jax will do if she refuses to oblige to his whims.

- It was originally because he wanted to hurt someone else other than Ragatha... Because he felt somewhat guilty of what he was doing to her (in some way). Projecting all that anger and hate onto a new nobody he has 0 attachment to was one other way to relieve that guilt of his off of... Until he saw a part of himself in Gangle. Oopsies.

- While Gangle's misery is partly staved off because Ragatha protects her from Jax and Zooble is there to keep him off at times, she still finds herself miserably attached to him because he relies on her to do his schemes and sort of likes being relied on as a result. She may have gotten a bit of a spine later on and has formed her own sort of independence away from him the more Ragatha and Zooble was there to intervene, she still loops back to obeying him (begrudgingly), especially within Journey's where they're more likely to become part of a team/ paired up together.

- He taunts her and she just lets him, but sometimes she gets confident enough to talk back or speak behind his back. Though sometimes he does listen to her advice and what she suggests... Just that he probably barely takes it into consideration in the long run (maybe).

Sorta basic gist of their miserably complicated dynamic--but what dynamic with Jax ISN'T complicated or messy is the question.

And, well, to begin with -- my AU, The Surreal Virtual Digiscape, calls adventures 'journeys' instead; Mafia Of The Rock Opera is one such journey that exists under that. I'm still in the process of figuring out what the entire plots' details are from start to finish, but here's a breakdown of some things that are in it:

- The evils make their special official debut in that journey.

- The troupe are tasked with finding the 'phantom' behind the evils' schemes to eliminate them from taking over the city once that 'phantom' is dead.

- They all get musical props/instruments that double as weapons.

- A lot of violence on both sides; ones of musical, verbal, and physical nature.

- LOTS of tension from Ragatha, Jax, J'adore (evil jax) and Rabecca (evil ragatha)

- Pomni and Gangle duo, lots of fighting them with Pheba (evil pomni) and Mangle (evil gangle)

- Car chase scenes AND car roof fighting scenes... I think.

And that's the basic gist of it... For now. Some of these details are bound to change in the foreseeable future.

*insert whispering* I wouldn’t want Jax to get angry about it or very jelly. Sooooo…I figured I’d let it be. However, if you’ve remembered the last episode of TADC, ragatha looked so pretty in her orange baseball dress! :3

Well... In the new thing I'm cooking up, Jax is giving some hard snd mean glares to J'adore kissing Ragatha's hands and Ragatha warming up to him. So... Jealousy all around regardless of what kind of gesture is given to her.

Amd YES MY WIFE GOT HER SOFTBALL GAME!! And her getting adopted by the gloinks... Ouuugh my girl is happy at least.

I love that thing you do where you connect the outline of the face and chin to the eyebrows and nose, its like your signature feature for me, i'd never seen it before, did you came up with that or got inspired from other artists?

That's called a face crest! It's a style that I found very prevalent in some spaces of the undertale AU fandom, and wanted to adopt into my own style since previously I just drew faces regularly/semi-realistically.

I long wanted to break away from that after feeling like I've stayed too stagnant in my old way of drawing for far too long. This is how I used to draw faces prior to adopting the face crest and going for a more stylized look:

HIIIIIII hello masha'allah ty 🌸✨🩷💖 I haven't gotten into thinking about that aspect for my AU yet, but what I can say for Scratch is that alike the show, he was one of the lead programmers/developers of the digiscape and its A.I. (Caine and Abel). What might differ is the purpose he has for why it was created, instead of as an escape from his impending brain tumor only.

Since I said before that the premise of TSVD's landscape is that it's supposed to be a fusion of dreams and video games/VR, and thus brain scans are involved in the process, I might possibly explore the idea that Scratch-- alongside Queenie and Kinger (as they're both involved in the creation of the game in my AU)-- were dabbling on the idea of making a video game and A.I. that can sustain itself in creating brand new concepts for brand new games with the involvement of the human mind in it, and what better way to have that A.I. constantly generating new concepts snd premises on its own than through the involvement of dreams, which are always changing and never really all the same for each person?

so for first things, I just wanted to say I love your AU’s and art-style. It’s so scrumptious. Also I really love the lore you built up for your AU’s and everything.

So, like when Jax goes into feral mode do you think Caine ever makes something like a very strong sedative? Like to stun Jax or possibly calm him down?

Firstly-- Teehee masha'allah ty 🌸💖🤲✨️ I strive to be a little intricate with things, with AU's or with my ocs. Tis my downfall into a fandom.

Secondly, Caine usually leaves the troupe to their own devices with their talents, so he doesn't make any effort to come in between them unless they've broken a rule or two... which so often happens to be whenever Jax destroys a couple of his NPC staff. He doesn't really care all that much if it's the NPC's killed within the Journeys themselves.

Caine doesn't go for the tranq route the second his attention is called for when Jax reaches a certain number of dead NPC's in his feral state. When he intervenes, he forcefully confines Jax within a carrier-- essentially treating him just like an actual animal until he snaps out of it. When he does snap out of it, Caine makes him wear the cone of shame for a day or two.
