Finally got to do my first big raid in Pokémon Go yesterday. At first I thought I was just going to lose but This older woman invited me to join in their group and everyone was sort of strategizing to take down the monstrously cute lapras. We somehow pulled it off and everyone got to catch the ice Loch Ness monster. Afterwards we stood around and talked about where good spots were and speculated how legendaries would work. And I think those kinds of interactions are why people still play.
