“So…” Valentina says, trying to regain her breath. She feels silly for her question before the words even come out of her mouth, but she doesn’t want to assume, so she forces herself to ask. “What do you want to do? We can do what you want. We can eat, go to the lake—”
“Valentina,” Juliana suddenly cuts her off. Her raspy voice and the way she is looking at her, eyes hooded and needy, is more than Valentina can handle. She finds herself swallowing hard when Juliana trails her fingers up her naked arm and starts playing with her hair, pushing it behind her shoulder and teasing at the skin of her neck.
“Yeah?” Valentina whispers when Juliana doesn’t say anything else. But Juliana doesn’t seem eager to continue her sentence. She is eager to do something else entirely, perfectly answering without words when she places her hand behind Valentina’s neck and kisses her again.
It’s a longer kiss, more demanding even than the one that left Valentina breathless, bodies pressed flush as their lips glide together. Valentina wraps her arms around Juliana and can’t hold back the small sound that crawls up her throat when Juliana runs her tongue over her bottom lip, asking for permission. Valentina opens her mouth immediately and sighs in relief at the feeling of Juliana’s tongue against her own. After weeks where sex had been pretty much entirely forgotten, even just kissing like this seems to awake every nerve in Valentina’s body in an almost overwhelming way, a reminder of how addicted to Juliana’s touch she is.
They move inside the house shortly after, a push and pull Valentina isn’t sure initiated by whom. They make their way to the bedroom, kissing the whole time; it isn’t frantic or desperate, just a steady pull towards the same goal of feeling each other, messy almost in a soft way. By the time Valentina falls on the bed and Juliana crawls on top of her, she is already feeling like someone has set her ablaze from the inside. She is perfectly content to burn alive as long as Juliana keeps kissing her like that.
Valentina kicks off her sandals and tries to pull herself up to remove her dress, but Juliana doesn’t let her, keeping herself pressed over Valentina and capturing her lips again for a deep, sucking kiss that makes them both moan. Her mind tells her to slow down, and yet her hand tangles in Juliana’s hair, trying to get her even closer to her than physically possible. Her chest is heaving by the time Juliana breaks the kiss to nuzzle at her cheek and press her lips on the line of her jaw, making Valentina pant and shiver at the same time.
“Juls…” Valentina’s mind blanks out for a moment when Juliana latches her lips onto her neck and starts kissing and sucking at her pulse point. Amidst the burning feeling, a small laugh comes out of Valentina’s throat: she still struggles to understand how things escalated this quickly, from having to drag a sleepy Juliana out of the car to being pinned down on the bed while Juliana does what she wants to her. She cups the back of Juliana’s neck when the younger girl pulls down the strap of her dress to press a line of wet kisses from her collarbone all the way to her shoulder.
“Juls, this was supposed to be about you.”
“Mmm,” Juliana hums against Valentina’s skin, seemingly unable to detach her lips from her. “I thought it was supposed to be about what I want.”
Valentina can’t help but laugh at the cheeky comment, thoroughly enamored with how teasing and confident Juliana can become when in the right mood. Her heart swells when she feels Juliana’s lips curl into a smile against the arch of her neck. It’s one of her favorite things about sex with Juliana: this lightness they bring into the bed, how there is always room for laughs and silliness, how everything feels effortless because of how connected they are.
