And I'll add to that... if you say that the adult being intellectually disabled is an excuse for him being under a little girl's bed, what you're saying is that people with intellectual disabilities are inherently pedophilic. That's not true. People with intellectual disabilities fall in love and get married all the time... to other adults. Not to children.

Just a friendly reminder to everyone: a diagnosis isn't a free pass. If you harm someone unintentionally because of your disability or illness you still have to at least say "Sorry, my bad." because you still hurt someone. Just like if I accidentally step on someone else's toes I'd still apologize. You're apologizing for the hurt, not the intention.
I'm actually particularly .. I don't know... scared of? nervous about? uneasy about? Shitler's address tonight. An almost indescribable feeling of dread.

Once again, in an effort to anticipate my needs (rather than actually just listening to the words I fucking say), men have doubled my workload.
Like my coworkers went into my work files and threw out all of my duplicate and triplicate copies of pending documents and all of my working notes for those files. I don't even know what the thought process was that would make that seem helpful. They also told customers to leave me messages while I was out (instead of referring people to my supervisor which is the ooo protocol) but I don't have access to the voicemail box. Now people are going to call me angrily because I haven't called them back AND my VM notification will be lit up forever.
It's fine now. Because I'm employee #1 and should get a raise.

The person who came to reconnect the Internet after a tree knocked the lines down is hanging their ladder from the fucking power lines. I don't think those are supposed to be load bearing, bud.

A huge maple tree in my back yard just got struck by lightning and split in half. Now half of the tree is leaning on my side of the building and across power lines. π¬ Hopefully we don't lose power with this god awful heat. Or fire. I don't know if the fact that it's pouring out makes fire more or less likely? Because it's not just 1 or 2 power lines. The tree is across an intersecting section of power lines coming from three different directions in the neighborhood. Somehow nobody's power or cable seems to be out that we can tell?
Aaand that was another enormous flash across the windows with immediate thunder that lasted for 20 seconds in weird wavey electric sounds. Kind of like someone waving around a metal sheet over and over.

Damn, the city and tree removal people work fast AF. We have electric but no internet other than phone data. Otherwise fine. This is going to be a weird three day weekend for me.
