Also: I am preparing to get a LOT of shit for this, but just for funsies, here is the death count for the Force Awakens Characters in order from highest to lowest.   This is the death count from the character pulling the trigger/saber/ what have you, as they were the one who directly caused the deaths.   Orders are not counted or else Hux would be in the billions.  But ALL of our favs are murderers.  Finn: 22 People.  (Remember he was a storm trooper, he killed people who he grew up with and therefore should be pretty impactful.   Finn’s story is very much about how there are real people behind the masks of storm troopers.) Poe: 21 Han: 13 Chewie: 8 Rathtars: 5 (Yeah counted that too)  Rey: 4  Kylo: 2  Now this isn’t me defending Kylo’s actions, but it’s just to point out that death isn’t necessarily held to the same standard as it is in our universe.  Han Solo flat out killed people as comedic jokes.  They are all “Murderers”, not all of these are in self defense either.   These sort of narratives call for “killing” it doesn’t make them characters we shouldn’t enjoy.
