Wait, the events of Veil of Secrets would've been happening during Dolores's last year of medical school (I think?).
What if I have Dolores live with Annis during medical school? Annis is only supposed to be gone for a few days to go to Kate's wedding, but she doesn't come back in the expected time frame and then a few days later, Annis finally texts back and it turns out she's in the middle of solving a kidnapping and Dolores really wishes she could focus on her little sister and All Of That Shit, but, like, she's sort of in the middle of something right now, and THEN it turns out that Annis is staying in Bridgeport with her friend from college and now Dolores has to deal with living alone again on top of all of that and she STILL has to finish med school...

To be clear, Dolores's doesn't give a damn about any sports, especially contact sports like hockey. She finds them stupid and unnecessarily dangerous. Casey comes into hospital after being injured playing and Dolores has to absorb the strength of every patient on life support in that hospital in order to stay professional and not ridicule Casey's career in front of her.

Honestly, this was one of my favourite scenes in the book/possibly the series as a whole. I loved seeing the relationship between the band members. I really need to finish my cheer/football routes and play this scene with those groups
