Art from 2020 by Mayticks Prints available on Etsy
I decided to show people the all the different types of Russian women all on one screen. It is a collage of the soul of Russian women. We’re all so different, but we are all together in one country, helping each other. You can see very powerful women – who were activists in Chechnya, in Grozny. Women who are open with their sexuality and who are LGBT activists. One of the women runs the largest foundation to help children with cancer. These women are my inspiration. When I am singing that part of my song with these women behind my back, I always want to cry because I don’t remember having this kind of moment in my country. We are all together, singing, smiling and happy.
We said to them, you can record yourself however you want. Makeup? Fine. No makeup? That’s fine. If you want to wear something, wear it. We want to show real Russian women without photoshop. It’s really cool that we have all the generations – we have grandmothers, we have little girls, we have grown women, we have mums with kids on that screen. Hundreds of women on stage with me!
ESC Insight - Manizha: All Of Russia On One Stage
manizha could come dead last in the esc final but she'd still be a winner for showing the world a side of russia that never gets representation. a refugee representing russia is huge. poc and lgbt ppl being shown on screen during russia's act is huge. having the guts to criticise misogyny in russia is huge (russian conservatives have been complaining about her song in parliament and she's even received death threats for challenging the sexism russian women suffer). and she did it in a way that didn't degrade russia, but honoured its traditions and culture. ppl underrate it, but russian woman is one of the most important songs ever at eurovision. she used her performance to spread an important message to the people of russia, one that uplifts women and minorities, and challenges those who antagonise them. I've never been so invested in a eurovision act and performer.

Meryl Streep Perfectly Summarizes Why Sexism Is Still A Reality For Women
After discussing sexism in the refugee crisis, the Church, and financial systems, she went on to criticize her own industry for its deplorable lack of female film critics.

Happy first day of fall in memories of Pokee 🦔🍂🍁 | mr.pokee
thank you to the women who refuse to wear makeup
thank you to the women who don’t own any high heels
thank you to the women who cut their hair short
thank you to the women who dress in comfortable, baggy clothes
thank you to the women who don’t shave and don’t hide it
thank you to the women who talk loudly and take up space
thank you to the women who eat what and how much they want in public
thank you to the women who sit boldly instead of with crossed legs
thank you to all the gnc women who make it easier for the women around them to fight the prison of femininity, too
Some new art🥰
Instagram took it down lol
You know you live in a dystopian hell when saying you're not attracted to someone is "hate speech".
You can sit weirdly on chairs, you can walk fast. You can keysmash and wear rainbow colors. You can love cottagecore, cowboys, yaoi, fanfiction, Animal Crossing, poetry. You can say dyke, faggot, queer. You can make pride flags and put your neopronouns in your bio. You can go to pride, go to GSA meetings, and gay bars.
But you will never be gay unless you are same sex attracted. Not same gender attracted, not a "gay trans boy" (straight female) or "transbian" (straight male). You must be homosexual. As in, you are attracted to people with the same genitals as you.
I know genuine gay people want to bond over things they have in common with other LGBs (e.g videogames, aesthetics, media) but let's never forget that there is only one universal gay quality: same sex attraction.
