Have you seen Black Panther? Any negative or unpopular opinions?
Killmonger was created in some fascist way to demonize and then vilify the revolutionary. TāChalla was hard pressed to save some white man but easily acquiesced when KM asked to be left to die. That only makes sense if he was insecure about his claim to the throne for as long as KM was to live. Hardly makes him any better than his daddy. They presented us with this character that represents displaced black Americans, made him reckless and ruthless, then killed him off. TāChaka was a lil bitch. Nakia was about the only fully sensible one in terms of what to do with the world, why her clearly superior POV was almost swept under the rug, I still wonder. That white savior moment was horrible, like why do they keep thinking we need those? Awwww he risked his life to stay in the virtual ship and fight for the blah blah blah, fuck that nigga. Two white characters and I still gotta deal with white savior audience pandering. Apparently there was a small lesbian moment that got deleted, fuck that shit. I want Killmonger alive and I want him tempered by Nakia and I want them coupled up cause jesus that Lupita/Michael B chemistry is OD irl. And I think thatās it?
Still enjoyed it. Still gonna see it again. Still think Coogler did a pretty good job.
