I had a lovely day yesterday delivering a zine workshop for young people at the Scottish Refugee Council, for Standing Tall Arts in association with Aberlour’s Scottish Guardianship Service. The service supports unaccompanied asylum seeking and trafficked children and young people. A lovely evening, lots of great ideas and beautiful zines!

I had such a lovely weekend at Glasgow Zine Fest! I led a zine workshop in the morning (assisted by awesome Edinburgh-based photographer Christina Webber), followed by a great afternoon meeting lots of interesting people at my stall in the zine fair. Such a brilliant and vital event, proud to have been a part of it!

I spent a couple of Saturdays in April volunteering with Child Bereavement UK in Glasgow. Over a series of four family support days, children and carers were invited to participate in a range of activities looking at grief, memory, resilience and hope for the future. I passionately believe that types kinds of services are crucial in helping children cope with the frightening and often isolating experience of loss.If you would like to donate please go here.

I’m delighted that images from Beloved Curve will be exhibited as part of When The Light Shifts, a national touring exhibition that brings together over fifteen of Scotland’s female photographers, curated by Dr. Katherine Parhar. The Beloved Curve book dummy is finally ready! Thank you to Lachlan Young, Marco Scerri, Lyn Cunningham and Alyson Crone for printing/ binding/ design/ hand model support. Great weekend in London for the Uncertain States Annual Show, which features images from Beloved Curve alongside work by three other Scotland-based artists - Alan Knox, Catherine Cameron and Karen L Vaughan - a collaboration between Street Level Photoworks, East London Photomonth and Uncertain States. Thank you to everyone who came down the opening and to the talks, and to Fiona and all at Uncertain States for organising a great show! On until 27th November at Mile End Art Pavilion.

Beloved Curve will be exhibited as part of Uncertain States’ Annual Show at Mile End Art Pavilion, London, between 18th - 27th November. Part of East London Photomonth, this is a new collaboration between Uncertain States and Street Level Photoworks, showcasing work by four Scottish artists: Alan Knox, Catherine Cameron, Karen L Vaughan and myself. We’ll be speaking about the work at the gallery at 12:30pm on Saturday 19th November, all welcome!
