the most important commonality you need to have with your boyfriend is belief in the same core values  mine are: stay curious be genuine try your best to be kind and now that I have a business with my boyfriend, every decision is easy how do we respond? be kind. how do we do this thing we’ve never done before? we’ll ask questions & learn. how do we find a market? provide a service or product that’s authentic to our interests and skills.

I have everything I’ve ever wanted and I still feel like a loser

an outsider in my own home & among my own friends and loved ones

I used to preach about having confidence and approaching situations with love and  optimism in your heart but now that I’m older and I don’t have the blind courage that comes with the  boldness of youth

I’m depressed, insecure, and always scared of absolutely everything I stutter when I speak, I sweat when I meet new people, and I cry in the shower so my roommates can’t hear me and it all comes down to self-worth, really I weigh the most I’ve ever weighed, I gave up on my dreams, and I’m constantly surrounded by people I feel inferior to I guess I’ll try harder tomorrow

you have roses, tequila, a brand new spankin’ outfit and you wonder where  the night will go the bar reeks of insecurity and your perfume, plucked from orange blossoms, smells like self-validation for how attractive you want to know you are “wow, the men here are hot,” she says and you nod along like an idiot who smells meat, wants meat, even prepares a centerpiece of cow, pork, lamb before telling the table of hungry carnivores “I’m a fucking vegetarian”
