Something that’s always bothered me about the Sims 2 was how the premade townies just wandered around as single, story-less characters till you added them to your own households. Even then they didn’t have any parents, siblings, children, etc. So over the summer of 2020, one of my many projects, was to fix that.
I’ve deviated a bunch and if I’m being 1000% honest I probably will again from adding to this. Like so many before me and most likely after me, I’m renovating my Pleasantview neighborhood. In my current hood every townie will now have a backstory and actually live in a home. That does mean putting in the no-townie respawn so more don’t spawn but that’s ok!
Here are my famous townie makeovers & backstories so far. I kept them looking as close to the original but with slight “upgrades” (upgrades people! upgrades! she yells like in the scene from Robots) I mostly want them to be recognizable as the ones we all know and love with adding my own twists and personalities to them.

The Tellermans were honestly so much fun to make into a household. It started with Komei Tellerman, Marisa Bendett and Britney Parker. I saw the three of them and thought, omg yes, they totally look like a family together and had to make it happen.
His life is to just earn $100k in my game while his wife Marisa wants to own 5 top level businesses. So this is one of Komei’s business outfits he’ll wear to work. He doesn’t care about fashion much with 3 points so he often will look slightly disheveled.
But he can pull himself together at the same time too
One of the businesses they will own will be what’s known as a “greasy spoon.” When I randomized everyone’s skill points, Komei rolled 5 in cooking so guess whose going to be the cook? Yup you guessed right, Komei
On the rare day Komei does get a day off, here is his lazy around the house clothing.
I only have one outfit for Marisa so far but I couldn’t believe how much this makeover looks to the original but obviously upgraded. The moment I saw this dress I knew it was for Marisa Bendett. I kept everything soft and flowly. She’ll be mostly at home taking care of their daughter but she will technically own most of the businesses and have things in her name. Nothing goes by Marisa without her approval.
I’ve seen someone put Jan Tellerman as Komei’s wife and I can see that since they share the same name but I didn’t think of that at the time. So instead she is Komei’s little sister whose never quite grown up. I love that she’s a Romance Sim and her look is probably the most different of all the makeovers I’ve ever done. She’s sporty & flirty at the same time with a ton of 80′s influence.

Brittany Tellerman. “Parker” is her nickname I decided she gave herself so now most people call her Parker instead of Brittany. I haven’t decided why quite yet. She loves her aunt in particular and hopes to emulate her... which does not please her mother Marisa at all.
