People are always sick in airports, everyone is coughing, breathing and sitting too close to each other. They find it important to constantly remind you to make sure you don’t leave your bags unattended. Are we all fucking idiots? We were all planning on leaving our bags unattended so thank God they reminded us not to…every 5 minutes over the INTERCOM. Whatever happened to having a little faith in humanity?
The range of emotions scatter through the confined terminal walls that you wait impatiently in long lines to get into only to find yourself up in the air where no matter how much they needed you on the ground you wouldn’t be able to be there right at that second. Unless you’re a terrorist and take down the plane but even then it would take you time. And you would probably die. And unless you’re a pilot, those guys wouldn’t get you down quick enough anyway. You’re flying into the clouds while your thoughts are bouncing inside your skull but depending on how open minded you are they could travel much further. I guess if I could suck the positive out, airports are filled with REAL love. The goodmornings, the good nights, the I miss yous, the I can’t wait to see yous, the goodbyes, the get the fuck out of my life’s, the Hi’s, the HIGHS, the lows, the bullshit. You know, all that real stuff that is part of love. The details. You basically strip yourself and show everyone your junk when you walk through security. If that’s not love, I don’t know what the hell it is. And talk about “In sickness and in health.” Yep, right here. I wonder how long I can hold my breath.
