The MS Plumbob Dream is a Plumbob-class cruise ship owned by Vacation Island Cruise Lines. Sailing to multiple ports-of-call around the world, the MS Plumbob Dream is truly your home-away-from-home!

Imagine surfing in Sunlit Tides, al fresco dining in Monte Vista, beachside cocktails in Isla Paradiso, and even onshore hotspring excursions in Aurora Skies- all from the same ship! Sound like a fantasy? No- It’s reality.

Though superseded by newer, more exciting ships like the Llama-class ships (with their triple-decker bars and whatnot), the MS Plumbob Dream along with her sister ship MS Plumbob Aspiration are still among Vacation Island Cruise Lines’s most popular ships- in no little part due to their enduringly ‘low’ rates, “”all-inclusive”” packages and even their commonly marketed “””free””” cruises.

There might be a few spills along the way like drunk captains and viral outbreaks, not to mention the occasional iceberg or rogue wave- but if you’re looking for an unforgettable AND affordable break from the daily grind, make the MS Plumbob Dream YOUR next destination!

So basically a one week project that grew into a two-three(?) week project. I was inspired in part by @Nilxis’s Vacation worlds, a series of small, fast-loading worlds that your sims could escape to via NRaas’s Traveller mod!

The second inspiration is that this world could also act either as an in-between point in your sims’ travels (i.e. actually traveling from Sunset Valley to Sunlit Tides instead of poofing there) or also as a destination in itself!

Anyways, onto the usual:

Empty world

Five lots to build on (two 30x50 lots, three 60x50 lots).

Fast-loading! Only 14MBs in size!

Remember to turn off wildlife & horses if you have Pets. The MS Plumbob has kennels, but not stables!

No spawners! Keep that at home or for your on-shore excursions!

Ideally, remove all overriding weather mods as the one included within the files is specifically designed for the world. Otherwise, a custom sea movement package is included, which you can place into your Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Overrides folder.

Ideally works best with at least one resort lot, and the rest being community lots of your choice.

CC List

None, all custom-made CC is included in the world file.

Expansions

Basegame only needed!

However, to get the full experience, you will want at least Island Paradise in order to build resorts for your sims and/or World Adventures to build a base camp/generate tourists.

Place mods into the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads folder.

Double-click to install.

Put on the Sims 1 Vacation soundtrack while you load up the game.

If you don’t have the Sims 3, you can place the file on your desktop and admire it there.

What would change if Myrcella was an only child? Thanks for the insightful replies, they are a treasure.

You’re very welcome, but oh man, so much would change. Way too much for the plot to remain intact, really.

First of all, the big change is the question of a woman inheriting the throne. This goes back to before the Dance of the Dragons, when “in the eyes of many, the Great Council of 101 AC established an iron precedent on matters of succession: regardless of seniority, the Iron Throne of Westeros could not pass to a woman, nor through a woman to her male descendants.” The disaster of the Dance and Rhaenyra’s ill-fated rule further cemented this opinion among the lords of Westeros, so that when Baelor the Blessed died without children, the rights of his sisters (Daena, Rhaena, and Elaena) were barely considered before his uncle Viserys II took the throne. And in the Great Council of 233 AC, the claim of Princess Vaella (who was also mentally disabled, note) was dismissed immediately.

Now mind you, this female-exclusive succession precedent of the Targaryens might be something Robert Baratheon wouldn’t give a damn about. In his mind, there would likely be a clean break between the Targaryen dynasty and his own, and House Baratheon apparently followed the usual Andal succession of daughters before uncles. (Though we don’t know of any ruling Lady Baratheon at this time.) Robert would loudly argue over anyone who might bring up Rhaenyra – Myrcella was his daughter, “a true stag, not a crazy dragon bitch.” And to be fair, the maesters who supported Robert’s acclamation because his grandmother was Rhaelle Targaryen would note that the Baratheon dynasty did inherit through a woman, so perhaps the precedent wasn’t as ironclad as all that anymore.

Still, there would be many lords of Westeros who would be extremely uncomfortable at the thought of being ruled by a woman. So if Cersei only had one daughter, no other heirs and no apparent ability to conceive another, there would be major pressure placed on Robert to either set her aside and take another wife, or to officially name Stannis as his heir. (The fanfic favorite idea of legitimizing one of his bastards – Edric Storm most likely, not Gendry btw – would be an extremely last resort option as Robert’s brothers are alive.) And while Robert might consider naming Stannis his heir laughable (maybe), getting a new wife might be very appealing to him, especially if Cersei denies him her bed as much as she dared in the original timeline.

So the tension and intrigues prior to AGOT shift entirely. Cersei – annoyed that though she’s denied Robert any actual children of his own Jaime has only managed to give her one eight-year-old daughter and no sons, highly fearful about keeping her status as queen – is either dangerously sleeping with Jaime as much as she can, or is actually considering letting Robert conceive a child on her (though she’d have to be very desperate for that, because otherwise she would not be Cersei), or is sleeping with someone else behind both Jaime and Robert’s backs. Stannis, though he has no stated desire for the throne, does still see it as his duty and often annoyingly reminds Robert of the various historical precedents. (Mind you if he still only has one daughter himself, he might not push that hard on that subject – but there will be a coalition of lords getting behind him anyway. Possibly a small coalition, but it will be there.) But Renly will be pushing hard on the Margaery option for Robert, and he will likely have a large coalition behind him. Possibly to the point that he himself decides to marry and have children (yes he’s gay, I’m sure he’d do it anyway), just to be a stronger potential claimant to the throne in case Robert dies and a council is called to deal with the Myrcella (and Shireen) question.

As for Stannis and Jon Arryn’s research into the appearance of Cersei’s children vs Robert’s bastards – that just doesn’t happen. With only one daughter (who looks just like Cersei did as a child, and whose personality is nice and not at all Joffrey-like), the discrepancy isn’t so obvious. Though Varys and Littlefinger will still certainly be doing their own intrigues, and if Cersei gets more desperate and careless, certain words might be dropped into certain ears. And if Jon sees the tension ramping up in King’s Landing, as well as the way Lysa’s coddling is harming his son, then he’s still going to arrange for Sweetrobin to be fostered at Dragonstone, and Lysa and Littlefinger are still going to kill him.

However… because there’s no Joffrey, the AGOT plot doesn’t happen the way it did in the original timeline. Yes, Robert will still come to ask Ned to be his Hand, and Ned will still be entering a nest of vipers and lions in King’s Landing, but there’s no one for Sansa to be betrothed to. No, Robb won’t be betrothed to Myrcella (sorry rarepairers) – Robb is heir to the North and Robert (probably) still wants Myrcella to be queen, so that doesn’t work. However, if Robert wishes to be true family with Ned as he’s always wanted, and if he wants Stark support of Myrcella’s right to rule… then he’s going to suggest Bran for Myrcella. As Myrcella is eight and Bran is seven (if Jon Arryn died when he did in the original timeline), this is only a betrothal of course, but when Ned goes to KL Bran is definitely going with him (as was planned in OTL). That is, of course, unless Bran while climbing discovers Jaime and Cersei discussing their tenuous political situation while having sex… but in this timeline, is Jaime going to attempt to kill the boy who’s just been announced is going to marry his daughter? Or is he going to think twice about it (for once in his life)? I honestly don’t know.

If Jaime still does push Bran, though, it’s not going to be thought of as an accident the way it initially was in OTL. Again, this betrothal has just been announced, so it’s going to look like someone’s tried to kill the future queen’s betrothed. Someone who doesn’t want Myrcella to be queen, maybe. Which is going to place suspicion on precedent-promoting Stannis and Margaery-promoting Renly… and things are going to go very differently from there. Also note that if Cersei only has one child and Myrcella’s right to rule is debated, she’s not going to want to kill off Robert quite so quickly…

Anyway, I think I’ll stop here for now. It’s an intriguing little what-if, but the potential tracks from this point grow too unpredictable for me to go much further. Feel free to have fun with it, though!
