Wow, I am only now revisiting my old, original blog. It feels weird being here and a little bit scary to be honest. Sorry, I haven't kept in contact with any of you, but I'm trying to live life freely and positively, as much as I can. So, merry christmas (happy holidays) and a happy 2015 to you all. My nephew’s daughter wasn’t feeling well and, upon a doctor’s examination, she was found to have issues with her heart and was admitted to a hospital. After 15 days in ICU in Tulsa, she was flown to St. Louis Children’s hospital ICU where she was diagnosed with Dilated Cardiomyopathy. Dilated Cardiomyopathy is a condition in which the heart becomes weakened and enlarged. As a result, the heart cannot pump enough blood to the rest of the body. Now little 2 year old Nova needs a heart transplant!  We do not know how long she will be in St. Louis, but this will be a hard and costly journey as heart transplants can cost over a million dollars. My nephew has insurance but, as everyone is aware, insurance does not cover everything that is needed, not to mention the cost of traveling to and from the hospital and my nephew’s time away from work. I ask foremost for your prayers for Nova and for her family. We would appreciate your support with the purchase of a T-Shirt and/or donation. Even the smallest donation is greatly appreciated.
