Did you know that the Yellow Ant's Nest Beetle (Claviger testaceus) is a species of rove beetle that lives in the nest of a particular ant species? Their host ants, lasius flavus, receive a chemical signal from the beetle, rather than a physical signal via antennae, for the ants to regurgitate their food so that the beetle can eat it.
