Like rainbows mixed with thunder,
Like a family torn asunder.
Like a hope and a fear,
whether we be far or near,
The relationship is there,
Like a breath and the air.
Like a ring without a barer,
We're something less if not together.
Like a thought without a voice,
Or a decision without a choice.
Like a keen and a cry,
Like a moan and a sigh,
Like a voice and the wind,
Like the things we believe in.
Like teardrops and terror,
We'll be bound here forever,
