Life off-the-grid with the Clark’s. Mitch and I went for a walk the other day on this random back road near Mineville, NS, and bumped into this woman named Catherine Clark who was driving this awesome off-road vehicle. She invited us to a party she was having, all that we had to do was continue on down the road for another “20 minutes on foot, then turn at the wagon wheels and come on in and have a beer”. Needless to say, I was awfully intrigued and so we went.
The Clark’s turned out to be a really funny and friendly family from Newfoundland, and they have such a fascinating off-the-grid property which they were more than happy to show off. Catherine loves to collect vintage furniture and household items, which, might I add, look beautiful against the unfinished chipboard walls.
Mitch and I have been invited back to their place, so I am going to take them up on their offer, and go back out again and photograph them some more.
Cool yeaa :-)

Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year
I am humbled and honoured to have received EDN’s Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year award. It’s hard to believe how much I have accomplished and achieved since I moved to Halifax on June 23rd, 2014. I’ve been lucky enough to network with some great people who are very supportive and empathetic, and for this I am grateful.
Congratulation Anica , my best wishes :)

Happy International Women’s Day! In honour of IWD, I want to share an image of my mother, Irene, because I am so thankful for everything that she has done- not only for me, but for the numerous other people in her life. Apart from being a retired nurse of 40 years, she is very involved with different organizations that help empower women, including Soroptimist, an organization that seeks “equality, peace, and international goodwill for women”. She is the most caring person I know, and I owe everything to her. <3
belated happy womens day Anica, and my big Namaste! to mom. :)
This is where innocence lies,..
this is where hope lies,..

This is how hen drinks cow's milk,.. direct cow's breast feeding :D
I wanted to challenge my self the other day to go shoot something that I have never shot before, so I broke out of my shell and decided to photograph some guys surfing at Cow Bay, N.S. It was -6 degrees Celsius and sunny, but when it is windy and you’re next to the Atlantic Ocean, it felt more like -15. Needless to say, it felt good to photograph something “sportier” for a change.
cool freezing shot anica, chilling :)
Unable to capture natural mood, but able to capture cute looks ;)
