stassie let out a soft yawn. not only did she not get any sleep because of her partying, but the fire at lambda meant a early meeting with the dean of students to discuss the actions to be taken. what the dean didn’t know was that his favorite perfect, straight-a student, anastasia lopez, was in attendance. hours after the meeting, stassie, was still feeling the effects, especially of the cocaine. she was just doing some homework when the blood from her nose dripped onto her paper, causing her eyes to widen. stassie quickly covered her nose and rummaged through her bag for a tissue, whispering “shit. shit. shit.”
sasha rarely made spectacles --- out of herself or others. so, when she peeped something you probably wanted to keep lowkey, like getting your period in gym class (or a nosebleed in the middle of the day), she acted swiftly, and quietly. such was this situation. at the first sight of blood, she scrounges around her bag until she finds a pack of tissue, beating stassie to it. “here,” she offers them up. not to make this anymore awkward, sas goes back to writing her notes.
Jack’s fingers drummed idly on the nearest available surface, absently trying to work out the tricky 7/4 time signature that had been plaguing him for weeks. “Y’know, I accidentally started a dumpster fire once when I was 14,” he mused aloud, the fire at Lamba House being all anyone could talk about on campus today. “My mom ended up dating one of the firemen for two years, so she really couldn’t even be mad at me. He was kind of a dick though. I was glad when she got rid of him…”
"i know you might die if you do, but i’m willing to take that risk, can you kill the drumming for two minutes,” sasha ask-says. there’s conviction (like your mom saying no in the grocery store) but no malice in her voice. it’s just distracting as hell. and she’s already trying to distract herself from the hangover she’s nursing so it’s DOUBLE. plus, can anyone talk about something other than a little shed fire? she uses her teeth to tear open one of those dollar packets of advil, the kind that comes with two gel capsules, and her gatorade is already empty, but her thirst is quenched, so she swallows them dry. before saying, rather belatedly, “i don’t know if now is the smartest time to be running down your history of fire related incidents. just sayin’. dean lockwood probably has this place bugged,” she added, jokingly.
"you look ridiculous,” sasha laughed at the mask on the red head’s face, legs swung over the side of an armchair in the gamma common room. not that she looked any better with a pore strip over the bridge of her nose, but she wasn’t looking at herself. “...in the best way possible. you have to let me take a picture.” // @juliedocx

sasha wasn’t always a closet pessimist . once upon a time she believed in the tooth fairy and justice and that if you drank your milk you’d grow up big and strong
but , as we know , the tooth fairy was just a demon that collected teeth . and she drank milk until it poured out of her ears only to peak at 5 foot 5 . and the justice system failed the duke’s …. miserably ( more on that later )
raised by a science teacher & a wedding planner in a middle class neighborhood in brooklyn , she was one of two children . a spunky kid with guts and charm , sasha was a picture perfect child … but also v erica sinclair-y
she won science fairs all over brooklyn and entered every contest known to man . sasha even tried to break a guinness world record
unfortunately some of that tenacity left the day sean was murdered
no one knows exactly what happened that night , but the family has some ideas . the case was never solved and went cold after a year , but in the pit of her stomach , sasha knows the police department didn’t do their due diligence .
it seemed like everyone else tried to move on with their lives except for sas

sasha has a pretty bleak outlook on life since the death of her brother , but she’s fascinated with , and maybe a little piece of her believes she’ll be able to solve her brother’s murder one day , solving crimes and all the science that goes into it
legit watches true crime shows all day . give her all the buzz-feed unsolved , give her all the i.d channel shows , give her snapped
her parents sent her to grief counseling , but sas believes she’s perfectly fine . she just knows everything and everyone is bullshit . this mentality put a wedge between her and her parents though. they think she’s troubled , she thinks they’re full of it
she kinda floated through high school & her teachers just had to understand because she never failed a class and they let her do a ton of makeup work , but she’s also v bright & excelled in science
her dad played in the minors before becoming a teacher so sports came pretty naturally to her . her fastball caps out at 92 mph and she’s a star player
between her grades and athletic prowess hollingsworth was a no brainer
she joined a sorority for a sense of sisterhood . plus she wasn’t getting that from home anymore
regardless of her pessimism (it boarders nihilism …. yikes !!) sasha is cool to be around . she has pretty dark humor sometimes , and she can be impulsive to the point of recklessness , but she’s a fiercely protective friend and creative problem solver .
