A couple pretending to be strangers at a bus stop, they run from the rain and the man holds up his hickory book bag as an umbrella. They run into a cafe and the man picks up a daisy from the flower vase at the counter and tucks it behind her ear. "A daisy for my Daisy." He said. She kisses him and they share a look, a look of love and then kisses passionately.
They are in an apartment and they take off their clothes and touch each other. They play a kissing game. "If you can guess which part of your face I want to kiss, I will kiss you on your lips, but if you guess wrongly, you must kiss me. Left eye, right eye, nose, forehead." A little blue bird flutters in his chest. He feels something he has never felt before.
"Forehead." "Correct." She smiles and kisses his lips gently.
"Hm... left eye." "Correct." She is mildly surprised. She kisses his lips again.
"Three for three?" She asks. He smirks. "But there is a twist. If I get it wrong, you get to do whatever you want with me, but if I get it correct, I get to do whatever I want with you." She laughs. "And what would I do?" He whispers something in her eat which the audience doesn't hear.
"Okay." "Right cheek." "Wrong, it was nose!" She giggles. His request was for her to cuddle him to bed and to plant her lips on him in a night-long kiss.
They step into the shower and they shampoo each other's hair. The bubbles are on their noses.
After that, they are drying each other's hair. She puts down the needle of the gramophone, "I've Been Thinking" by Handsome Boy Modeling School plays over the speakers.
He puts lavender oil on his big palms and warms it up, slathering it all over her small shoulders and kneads them with himself sitting cross legged and her backing into him. Everything is golden and so perfect. He was thinking this was the best thing that happened to him in his life and felt so humbled. And she wasn't thinking at all, just drinking it all in in the golden lampshade in his small, messy apartment.
She flips the vinyl and "Reunion" by the XX plays, and she joins him on the bed once more. They don't speak but listen to the music in bed. They are perfectly in sync. They hold hands.
By the end of the song, she is asleep. He switches off the gramophone and hugs her into an embrace, placing his lips on her forehead and drifts into sleep.
The next day she wakes up and sees a post it note while brushing her teeth. "See you upstairs :) xx" She smiles. She dresses in tartan shirt and a white camisole. She enters his apartment which is upstairs from hers.
"Come in!" He calls from his workstation.
