Hercules returned the kiss and deepened it, his hands roaming over every inch of her bare body. His lips and teeth moved to her neck, slowly straddling her.

Meg adjusted under her husband, her fingers trailing through his hair as she rolled her head back, offering him more room. “I thought you wanted sleep?” she teased.

Hercules had decided to clear his head, go for a walk. He didn’t want to act in anger, instead he wanted to calm himself, so they could talk civily. It was however bad luck, that while he was out, the grey magic had struck, and suddenly he was Hercules no more. He was Joe, the construction worker now, and seemed rather confused. It wasn’t until he saw Meg, that something clicked “-Oh, uh hey!” he waved a bit “-sorry, I know this is probably weird, or some shit like that but uh.. are you that broad who’s wall I patched up last week? I’m a bit.. turned around,” he wiped his hand off on his jeans and flashed a lazy grin “-Th’names Joe.. I work construction here,”

“Hercules, I know we had a fight-- but this is immature, even for you” Meg frowned as she crossed her arms under her chest. what kind of game was her husband playing at? Was this really all because her cursed body had slept with another man?

Hercules returned the tender kiss and smiled softly “-now.. you need sleep.. I suspect you will feel awful in the morning…” he said, sighing a bit “-I do wish we were not as.. explosive..”

“I’ll be fine, after raising five children, nothing effects me anymore” she promised, pecking his lips once more before moving to slide under the covers. “If we weren't so passionate, we would not be us, my sun.”

“That is not my intent, do not twist my words,” he put his head in his hands and took a slow breath “-your mind, your heart no.. but your body. I am not angry that you, or whomever.. did it.. I am angry because you kept it hidden,”

I have nothing to hide-- it was Elena who laid with him, you know if I had any control it never would have happened” she sighed, wondering where the peace had gone and why she now felt covered by a dark cloud.

“That is a perk… any man who wishes to wed them will have much to handle.. so only a man who loves them truly will be willing to deal with it,” he smiled at her kindly, cupping her cheek “-they are blessings.. all of them,”

“Perhaps-- all the same even if they do truly love them, they have three older brothers who they will have to convince as well as their father” she smiled, leaning up to kiss his lips. “That they are.”

“It was dear Celio.. she was the only one who made your stomach ill, remember? You chewed on Erras Root day and night. You didn’t want me to go, because you were afraid she’d come and I’d be off somewhere,”

“I recall. . . .and she has yet to stop putting my stomach on edge, that child fears nothing” Meg muttered, her oldest daughter, and by far the child who looked the most like her besides their oldest son had a knack for finding danger and jumping in head first.

“Once,” he reminded “-The Kraken. Forty nights at sea, I spent hours clinging to it’s back with my sword in my teeth, waiting for a chance to strike without drowning,” he smiled fondly as he thought back. “-black blood, as thick as mud,”

“Ah-- right, I had almost forgotten, I was pregnant with Celiope, right?” it was either her or their oldest, they didn’t have children right away, it was after they deal had been struck by the river that they became pregnant with Thanos, then Celiope, followed by Banae and finally the twins who took after their father.

“I don’t mind..” he shrugged “-I suppose there is more to hunt here.. I understand mountain lions,” Herc loved wrestling lions, though he found them a bit of a bore after the Nemian affair.

“There are-- and if you want a challenge the sea is also close by. I don’t think you’ve ever had to fight something in the ocean have you?” Meg frowned as she racked her brain, trying to sort through her husband’s many conquests.

The man was quiet for a while, and he took a seat. “-I see… was he… acceptable?”

“I don’t know-- there is much from the curse that is still being processed, it all seems like a dream. But I think that was my curse, Elena gave herself too easily and none of the callers were ever. . .Well you, my soulmate.”
