“The paint’s supposed to go where?”

The process of painting their daughter’s room was a long one.

Roy had wanted blue and Danny had wanted pink. They had finally settled on purple, a compromise when the little girl in question came waddling out of said room with a toy dinosaur, begging for her walls to be “dino color.” And who were they to deny such an eloquent request?

So, at the hardware store they grabbed five different cans of light green paint, as well as some rollers and a shit tonne of plastic wrap. Danny still didn’t understand the need for all the materials. “It’s just a few walls, how many different paint brushes do we need?”

“Knowing your clumsy ass, we need all the help we can get.”

And lo and behold,Roy leaves the room for all of three (3) minutes, and comes back to find Danny covered almost head to toe in green paint.

“Danny, what the fuck? The paint is supposed to go on the walls!”

“The paint is supposed to go where?” Danny asked sarcastically. “I know that, I just was trying to open the can, and…well…this happened.” He gestured to himself.

Roy gave an eye-roll, but the smile eating at the corners of his mouth gave away that he wasn’t actually irritated. 

They managed to get one whole wall done before a paint war broke out. Roy was proud of their restraint. And little Eloise only tried to eat the paint six times. So Roy considered it to be a successful day.

Dear Adore

I don’t think anyone’s going to like this post. But if tumblr is supposed to be a place of expression and Wild Thursday’s has traditionally been a ‘Biadore’ blog then I think I need to be honest to my followers and friends who I’ve made through here.

I haven’t written in a while and maybe that’s because I can’t imagine the fluff anymore, I can’t imagine the love and I certainly can’t imagine respect.

Don’t get me wrong. I think Bianca and Adore are both supremely talented, beautiful, bright and deserving of their success. I’ve been privileged enough to meet Bianca in and out of drag and she has been humble, warm, friendly, funny, kind and accommodating.

But Adore, you’re nearly 30. Get your shit together.

I don’t mind drinking, I don’t judge people who partake in partying etc. I’ve certainly had my fair share of messy nights. But I think sharing all of your issues on social media, being rude to young and impressionable fans who absolutely idolise you and are being polite, caring and more loyal than many drag race girls could ever dream of is a step too far.

Also, some of the vile messages your ‘friends’ have sent to others just prove that you’ve lost your way and I can no longer be seen to condone that sort of behaviour.

The people you surround yourself with are the key to your heart, your happiness and your mental health. Choose them wisely.

I loved Biadore because it was a friendship that saw them both thrive. Bianca more relaxed and fun around Adore. Adore more sensible, calm and happy around Bianca. Surround yourself with people who make you feel loved. Bianca is only a plane ticket away Adore.

Please Adore whatever you’re doing, you’re in a privileged position. You have the money, the time and the resources to be able to invest in yourself, your issues and your personal wellbeing.

For the first time in a while, when I lie in bed and think about happy things to help me sleep. When I think about Adore, I just worry. Please Adore get the help you need. The world needs your talent, we’re all rooting for you my love.

AN: Thank you to the three anons who’s requests inspired this fic!! I’m really happy with how it turned out! Usually I prefer to write Roy and Danny a bit older and married when they have Ivy, but the request was cute so I figured why not! Just a warning this is a lot longer than my recent fics.
