Seems like all the recent asks for you are about Mai, meanwhile I'm sad for Noritoshi. He once told Fushiguro they are similar but didn't realize Maki is the one who is more similar to him, with them both having same goal to create a place in their clans for their precious people. And now both lost that goal, with Mai dead and Noritoshi kicked out of clan. His mother even moved on and has a new family with a new kid. And now Noritoshi even lost his will to live thinking he has no place in her life so nowhere to go. I kinda wonder if he realised Maki is in similar situation even if her mindset is different from his.

True, anon. Both of them lost their place to belong and their main motivation; Maki lost Mai, Noritoshi lost his mother. But it's very interesting that gege stick these two together. I hope it's not only to highlight the difference outlook that they have. I hope gege uses Maki to influence Noritoshi in some way so that he doesn't throw away his life like what his monologue says in the latest chapter. He deserves much better than just being a sacrifice - moreso in the hand of Naoya. He surely can do better

(but this is just wistful ideal thinking, jjk is never predictable so)

MAKI ZENIN AND NORITOSHI KAMO

More culling games analysis this week, in my continued to prove this arc is more than just fighting and there’s a lot of thought put up into the matchups between these characters. This meta will focus on why Noritoshi and Maki two characters who had almost zero interaction before this point are now teaming up together in the fight against Naoya. Though this fight is their first interaction to date, there are actually a lot of parallels already set up between them which I’ll elaborate on underneath he cut.
