@saturnsghoul
so happy i finished this in time for the spooky day
stayed up all night feeling sorry i didnt make any art
I want.
I might buy them. I have a lot of watercolors already. BUT these are more opaque watercolors but less so than gouache. It might be my happy medium after my terrible separation from gouache. Is 2am the right time to make a purchase?
when youre reading smut and youre positive you have their entire geometry figured out but then someone grabs a knees that shouldn be there
I am an incredibly unrealistic boss who micromanages under the guise of "high standards" and as an employee i am completely incompetent. Unreliable. I dont wish to meet my own standards.
Remember when they made digimon not real
Highly offensive
I felt great about my art for a whopping 5 hours and ill never forget that joy
I make one okayish painting and everything feels fine again
I live for when the short man is depressed
what a wonderful Friday night with THREE fic updates
ive been going back to basics and following some watercolor tutorials. I kinda want to take a break from gouache, its not giving me the results I want and im not sure if thats because of a lack of understanding of the medium or what BUT maybe watercolor and I will get along and be best buddies. For my self-esteem's sake, I really need to make something that feels like a success or at the v least progress.
I am breaking some rules - mostly by using white paint instead of being a traditionalist and using the white of the paper. Idk - i am not a big planner type A person with painting. I let the process guide me sort of thing. Shoot me. You cant take titanium white from me (its so soft when blended i think I might be in love) but i really need to use less water and maybe get some nice brushes. All of mine are 8+ years old and not high quality.
I feel like what I really want would be achiveable with oil paint, but i dont want all the hassle that comes with oils, and Im v happy with how portable and easygoing watercolor and gouache can be. Gouache is often used as a substitute for oil, but i havent figured out how to get it to look like that at all and every tutorial I find that is using gouache in the way i want is in mandarin. Do I need to learn a new language to get what I want?? It'd prob be good for my brain.
This has been a small art blog post that was not thought out really but please enjoy the cute paintings. Thank you ♡
The desire to throw my art away is nearing its pinnacle
climbed a mountain. didn't want to hurl myself off the side and end it all. progress.
Is he... did i... did I babygirl him?
