Doomen TWENTY14

DOOMEN SS2014 “Such passion always improves the breed.” A collection inspired by those who take part in “Doo flying”, a Scottish sporting tradition for hundreds of years and widely popular in the housing schemes across Glasgow. ‘Doomen” is the name given to men who fly pigeons.  Homage to the beauties caged in the doohuts, building anticipation for the big release, sent out to seduce a fellow bird for capture. Alluring and fierce, this collection has purpose. To attract the opposition.  Seven finely crafted digital prints on silk crepe coupled with accents of hand dyed barkweave cotton in petrol, periwinkle and powder blue are inspired by the feathered textures of the bird. Layers of ombre fabric give the collection distinctive Saunt and Sinner twist.
