a haircut and a choice

a bit of background:

Dande has never killed anyone, it's a big line he fears crossing. But now, he's made the choice to face and kill his father. His own blood, perhaps he can be the one to end all the suffering he and his father have caused, once and for all. Perhaps he can be free finally. His hair means so much to him, it's just like his late mother's. He always let it grow so he felt closer to her. She has always been a big influence for him, thanks to her he slowly embraced who he is and his kindness, as well as his love for flowers.

This haircut is a promise. Once his hands are stained with blood and the war ends, it will grow again. He will still be himself.
