*Smiles ruefully* Yea, calming a panicked room is great, but it works the other way, too. If I get too angry, then fights can escalate really quick. It gets nasty. 

Control always seems to be the key. It’s the hardest thing to learn, but once you master that, you master your mutation. At least that’s what I’ve noticed so far. So, how many times did you blow the dangerrooms disruptor? *Smirks*

*Nods* Yes, lack of control doesn't usually lead to a stability of powers. [She laughed lightly and gave a shrug.] Only once, I couldn't control the amount of power I let out because of one of the members of Shadow X.

He winced.  ”The Black Widow taught me some stuff.  I mean, I wasn’t really very good at it.  8 months with her, I think I hit her twice.”  He shrugged.  ”I know enough to get by.”

[Lets out a grunt like chuckle.] Alright. [She shrugs] Other than workin’ at the school and well the X-men, what do you do?

“Uh…”  He didn’t really do anything else - superheroing was a full time job for him.  ”I can cook a pretty good omelet?”

Ha, no, nothing more than drabbles in my notebook. My power is really similar to a telepath’s actually. I don’t need physical contact to sense another’s emotion, but touch does make it stronger. When I was little, I couldn’t control my input, and everyone’s emotions would hit me at once. And when you’re in kindergarten where every kid’s emotions flip flop like crazy, it can be overwhelming. After the professor found me, he taught me how to block them out unless I chose to let them in. He also taught me how to control my output. If I focus on an emotion, I can spread it to those in the immediate area. Again, I don’t need to touch them, but it does help. How did you learn what to do with your gift?

There is still time, I am sure.[Arches a brow and leans forward to place her elbows on her knees.] How is it similar to a Telepath's abilities? I thought empathy worked a lot different. [Blinks at Sensor and half smiles thoughtfully. Empathy wasn't something Becka had studied intensely, she had trained with them but never on a deeper level. Meg always did that.] That sounds pretty useful, being able to calm a panicked room.

[She shrugs] It was always a second nature to me, I think I had more trouble figurin' out how to control my primal form than a storm. Had to learn the intensity, gage how far I could go without hurtin' anyone. Or well blowin' the dangerrooms disruptor.... That was interestin'.

“Well, it’s kept me alive so far” he laughed.  ”I mean, yeah.  It works for me.”

“The way your dad fights isn’t really for everyone.  I mean, if I’m in a fight, I usually stay a bit more back.”  He shrugged.  ”I mean, I’m pretty durable, it’s just…  Well, I’m not Piotr or Logan.”

I do a mixture of that and hand to hand. [Shrugs and half smiles at him.] If that works for you I say keep doing it. I have a few friends that fight from a distance. Anyway, everyone has their own style, mmm?

A shrug.  ”That’s fair enough, I mean, god knows I’ve messed up in the past and he still seems to like me okay.”  He smiled.  ”It’s pretty nice to see him tearing into the bad guys though.  Always a lot of fun.”

[She give Bobby a shrug in return.] Everyone messes up. [Returns his smile with a half grin of her own.] Yeah, it is, isn’t it? Kind of makes me want to work out more.

He laughed at the idea.  ”Yeah, I dunno, Scott stopped intimidating me when I realized that I could probably take him in a fight.  Your dad though, I listen to him.  Unconditionally.”

[Let out a grunt like chuckle.] Well, we stole the blackbird when we were students. It was my first week there and they wouldn’ go lookin’ for our friend. So, I was more afraid of being kicked out and sent back to the Savage Lands. [She shrugs and grins.] He scares you?
