Example: You post a piece of art onto your blog. It’s not your best work, but you’re fine enough with it to post it. A friend reblogs your post and adds “THIS IS SO GOOD OMG YOU’RE SO TALENTED!”

Do say: “Aww, thank you!” “Shucks, buster!” “Omg you’re so sweet!”

Don’t say: “Ugh, not really…” “No, you’re wrong.” “Thanks, but I don’t think so.” Make a goal! Go 3 days without turning down a single compliment! Go as long as you can, and encourage your friends to do the same! You deserve every compliment you get, because somebody thought you were so remarkable that they needed to vocalize it. Accept it, internalize it, and celebrate it! You’re awesome!
