You classic rock fans are the real deal. I show you a pic of Jimmy Page laughing and youâll be able to tell me why heâs laughing, where heâs laughing, at what volume heâs laughing and for exactly how long, respect
I wish I was that fucking good!
Just a little John Lord appreciation moment
Unspoken Rules of the Classic Rock Fandom
1. Everyone wants a time machine. Like, more than they want oxygen.
2. Everyone has a crush on a 25-year-old version of a man whoâs currently either in his 70âs or dead.
3. Thereâs gonna be that one song from your favorite band that makes you cry every time at inopportune moments. Just go with it.
4. There can never be enough musical biopics, even if theyâre not always the greatest movies.
5. Rockstars, despite being musical geniuses, are often fucking idiots.
6. You canât surprise older fans anymore because theyâve kinda seen/heard it all. The mudshark incident? The egg burrito thing? David Bowie doing so much coke that he dropped his weight to 95 pounds to avoid having his soul stolen? Been there, done that, got the T-shirt.
7. Elton John may not technically be a rockstar, but weâve all adopted him as one anyway. Fight me.
8. The 60âs had LSD. The 70âs had heroin. The 80âs had cocaine. The 90âs had even more heroin. Today, all we have is tears about missing all the good shows that were played before most of us were born.
9. Please donât ask about John Entwistleâs mustache. Yeah, that mustache. We donât know either.
10. Handmade guitars and fat-bottomed girls make the rockinâ world go âround, honey.
11. If you say Freddie Mercuryâs teeth are ugly, may God have mercy on your poor soul.
12. When we say âThe bigger, the betterâ, weâre talking about 80âs glam rock hairstyles.
13. Everyone has a hand kink. Thatâs all.
14. Donât be a bitch to new fans.
15. Vinyl will always be better than an mp3 and live music will always be better than vinyl.
16. Everyone has cried over a low-quality, shitty picture or a blurry, poorly-filmed video of your favorite band at least once.
17. Live Aid Day might as well be a national holiday, except for the Led Zeppelin fandom (sorry, guys).
18. Bassists are the most under appreciated members of every band. Fix this. NOW.
19. Everyone has that one guitar solo that just sorta awakened something in you the first time you heard it and youâve never been the same since.
20. LEMONS. Also Jack Daniels.

yâall ever have those lines in songs where, when they finally sing it, ur heart just goes !!!!! and you become very happy because that one line in particular is just so wonderfully and artfully crafted?? like sometimes itâs the tune, sometimes itâs the lyrics, sometimes itâs a key change, sometimes itâs a long note, sometimes itâs something hard to explain!! i live for these lines tbh, sometimes iâll listen to particular songs just to hear a specific line lmao

Get What She Came For Chapter 3
~ a quick disclaimer that the dates arenât based on real tour dates just made up as a marker for the rough time period. Enjoy x ~
15th August 1973Â
The intense roar of the crowd melded together with the last note of âWhole Lotta Loveâ, creating a great swell of noise, as Led Zeppelin concluded their set. Jimmy Page stared intently at the sight before him, the kingdom that he had built, bowing his head in thanks as thousands of eager fans screamed in adoration. As his gaze drifted he concentrated on the front rows, one of his favourite parts of each evening was when the front of house lights finally came up and he was able to better make out the faces of those in front of him. Just then, a mass of white curly hair caught his eye. His face fell.
âCanât beâŚâ he murmured quietly to himself. It was her. Those otherworldly violet eyes caught his from the far left of the crowd. Lena smirked at him. Jimmy scowled back. He strode over to one of the stage hands as the band made their exit.Â
âThat girl. White hair, black clothes - get her backstage. We have some things we need to discuss.â The stage hand nodded
ââ
âHappy to see me?â Lena smirked as she was pulled into a dressing room a little more roughly than she would have liked. She looked the sweat drenched guitarist up and down, pondering his fragility as she took in his slender frame.Â
âWhy are you here? It better be to return that money you stole.â He said bluntly. He may have been well off but parting ways with the money he earned was never a feeling he relished.Â
âStole? Money you owed darling.â She sighed, as though she were bored by him, beginning to walk around the room and peer at all the interesting contents. There were a couple of Jimmyâs guitars lying in their cases as if asleep. They seemed dormant, waiting to be coaxed into waking and scream for the fans who loved them.Â
âPeter said he handled all of that. Look - I donât know who youâre working for or why but you can tell them if theyâre going to send anymore ofâŚwhatever you are then weâll be getting our supplies from elsewhere.â Jimmy said firmly yet still with the softness that never left his voice.Â
Lena spun round to face him and placed her hands on her hips.Â
âOkay. Letâs say I do you a deal. I donât take anymore of your money and you let me come on the road for the next week.â She said, cocking an eyebrow.Â
âWhat?â Jimmy hissed. Lena tilted her head to the side and smiled at him, refusing to reiterate.
âYou canât just waltz in to a dressing room after a show and invite yourself on tour. Peter is going to be here soon and he will be angry enough as it is that youâre here. I think itâs best that you leave.â He said, trying to ignore how drawn he felt to this woman.Â
âFine. So Iâll just tell my boss that you boys donât want to make good on any debts and are going to be going with one of our competitors. Oh heâll love that. Tell me, do you employ security? Because Iâd start hiring extra.â She chuckled. She tried not to give away the tension she felt in her entire body or the fact that her heart was hammering in her chest. She knew she was playing a risky game and that if she told enough lies to get what she wanted eventually it would catch up with her.Â
Jimmyâs face fell into a frown.Â
âFine. You can come to the shows but you go with the road crew. And make yourself scarce. Peter really isnât the kind of man you want getting angry. But thereâs one thing I need to know before you follow us around like a lost puppyâŚâ He hissed, the venom in his voice lashing out at her in subdued anger. He then paused briefly in contemplation. Sauntering slowly closer to her so as to look her directly in the eye.
âWhy?â He asked softly. Lena was silent for a time conscious not to reveal too much about her motivations with her answer. Not that she truly knew what they were herself.Â
âI need a new crowd.â She said in a flat, emotionless tone, making sure that Jimmy understood that was all sheâd give away. He nodded ever so slightly, pursing his lips to a pout and narrowing his eyes.Â
âGraham!â He called, without looking away from Lena for a moment. The same stagehand that had shoved her into the dressing room just moments ago now shuffled back into the room.Â
âEscort this young lady to one of the busses. Sheâs going to be travelling with us for a while.âHe instructed in such a gentle voice it constantly seemed juxtaposed to the things he said.Â
Lena cocked an eyebrow and smirked at Jimmy, winking at him, before turning swiftly on her heel and striding out of the room. As she followed the crew member down the long, cold corridor of the arena. She let out a shuddering breath full of relief and elation. She really didnât expect to pull that one off. For the first time in a long time she would get back to the life she used to know; where the glory of rock music was new and her freedom seemed endless. She still didnât care much for Jimmy Page but she cared for his music a great deal and decided that that was enough. Her lithe, pale limbs carried her as quickly as they could to a new adventure.Â
Decided to write this new fanfic again just on the casual as a little project, will profanely be a fairly long one for occasional updates - check out the blog for it and give it a follow if you fancy, I probs wonât reblog on here much xx Chapter 3 up now
