So Maggie is currently filming the first season of “Pants on Fire” which is based on “One of Us Is Lying”, a YA novel by Karen M. McManus. Coined as “The Breakfast Club meets Pretty Little Liars”, this show has caught the attention of Hollywood, and no one can stop talking about it. It’s set to premiere this Spring on The CW..
“Five students go into detention, but only four walk out.
When Simon Kelleher, author of infamous school gossip blog “About That”, dies during detention, the four students remaining suddenly become prime suspects. Especially when police discover a drafted “About That” post that was slated to post the following day, exposing a dark secret about each of the newly dubbed ‘Bayview Four’.

few things of note: unless specified as older, these actors are playing high schoolers that are 17-18, and can be any race, except in the case of maeve rojas, who is younger, and needs to be played by a latinx actress.

MAIN CAST
FIRST LAST as Simon Kelleher, the self proclaimed “omniscient narrator”, who dies of a fatal allergic reaction during detention. He created and ran the gossip blog “About That”, which holds secrets that implicate the other four students. While he dies in the first episode, he is seen often in flashbacks and serves as a narrative voice in future episodes.
MAGGIE DELGADO as Bronwyn Rojas, the “geek”, who cheated in Chemistry to keep her GPA. A perfectionist, she is determined to get into Yale no matter the stakes. Her younger sister was formerly targeted by Simon on “About That” that made her angry with Simon. She has a potential romance with Nate.
FIRST LAST as Addy Prentiss, the “princess”, a popular student who cheated on her boyfriend over the summer with another guy in the popular crowd. She attempts to confess to her boyfriend Jake, who dumps her immediately.
FIRST LAST as Cooper Clay, the “athlete”, who is rumored to have used performance enhancing drugs during the last baseball season. Everyone is convinced he’ll play in the majors. However, it is eventually revealed that his actual secret is that he is gay, and the steroid rumor was a cover up.
FIRST LAST as Nate Macauley, the ‘criminal’, currently on probation for selling drugs, but is still selling despite being on probation. He comes from a rough home life, which is partly to explain for some of his choices. He and Bronwyn have a potential romance.
RECURRING
FIRST LAST as Maeve Rojas, Bronwyn’s younger sister, currently in remission from cancer. Featured on “About That” for an obvious crush and sloppy behavior. She attempts to help her sister clear her name by hacking into Simon’s blog.
FIRST LAST as Jake Riordan, Addy’s ex boyfriend, and childhood friend of Simon. When Addy confesses to cheating, he dumps her and ices her out of the popular crowd. But there’s more going on with him than Addy realizes. Becomes more prominent in season two.
MARGOT DE VRIES as Ashton Prentiss, Addy’s older sister. Married, but on the verge of divorce. She’s vocal about disliking Jake and how he treats Addy, and eventually becomes her sister’s rock through the investigation.
FIRST LAST as Kris: Cooper’s secret boyfriend, a model, When his relationship with Cooper is outed, he helps the Bayview Four try to clear their names, and ends up offering a large piece of evidence.
FIRST LAST as Keely: Cooper’s girlfriend who he breaks things off with after the murder, in order to keep her from finding out the truth. Simon had a huge crush on her, and she outwardly detested him.
FIRST LAST as Janae: A goth girl who was Simon’s best friend until he died. She often appears upset and avoidant. Addy attempts to befriend her, but the group agree something seems off about her. Becomes more prominent in season two.
FIRST LAST as Luis: Cooper’s best friend, and the only one who doesn’t isolate him after he is outed. He also tries his best to help the four.
