i didn’t draw enough towards the end of the year to make those monthly art calendar things so here are two drawings that are made exactly a year apart instead (ok, a year and like, ten days) 

if you told me i could improve this much in a year i would’ve called bullshit. i always thought it was impossible that my professor went from not knowing how to hold a pencil properly to drawing the way he does now in just two years but this is honestly just a testament to that

i know i still have ways to go before i can even say my art is great but if anything i’m extremely humbled for everything, all the support and feedback and love you guys have to give

calling all my filipino followers who want to get better at art but don’t know where to start please read this shameless plug!!! 

i’m here to talk about my saving grace: the synthesis workshop!! i honestly don’t think i’d be as motivated to draw or would’ve learned as much and as quickly if it wasn’t for this class!! i literally went from being scared of holding a pencil to drawing straight from a ballpen in just 8 weeks!! 

and what’s great is that it’s such a small class (usually up to 15 students) that they have time to personally give you the art direction you need (they also personalize your final homework to you, hence my zombie russian au because he wanted me to get out of my comfort zone of drawing scenery)
