Stealing Cinderella (Self Para)
Huffing, the blonde stepped out of her car, leaning against it for a few moments while she decided if she was just going to walk to the next town or possibly just walk till she got bars. Either way she had to walk, so that's what she started doing.
It only took a couple minutes for Savannah to hear the rumble of another car heading down the road and she spared it nothing more that a mere glance back over her shoulder. "Car trouble?" A deep voice called out as said car came up beside her, slowing down to a practical stop.
"I've got it." She called back, continuing to walk however much longer she had to go. "You know the next town is a good eight miles up ahead, gonna walk all that in those shoes?" The man just had to point out her attire and Savannah slowed her walking, finally coming to a stop. "I just need gas."
Reaching over, the somewhat greasy man manually unlocked the passenger door to his truck and Savannah slowly slid inside, uttering a thank you. There was an awkward silence for several minutes in the car until greasy started talking about his car. 'Men and their cars' was the first thought that came to Savannah's mind.
The two held small conversation, introducing themselves and mostly talking about his car and surprisingly, Jay's car, because that's probably the only car Savannah could actually say she knew something about. He was the only person she'd actually listen to when he talked about cars, even if she had no clue what he was saying, though the countless episodes of car shows he probably made her watch taught her something, not that she'd ever admit it.
Finally the two came up to a split in the road and she could see the beginnings of a small town in the distance of the road to the right, but to her surprise Tom, as he introduced himself, took the opposite road.
"I think we were supposed to go the other way.." Savannah swallowed, looking over at him.
"I know where I'm going. It's up ahead just another bit."
Several more minutes passed before Savannah shook her head. They were heading nowhere, just up a dirt road into some wooded area. "Seriously, I think we went the wrong way."
"No, our destination point is just up ahead." He replied, eyes never leaving the road, except to glance into his rear view mirror occasionally. "Okay, I'm sorry, but can you just take me back to the main road back there, I'd rather walk." Savannah asked a bit desperately, a bad feeling knotted up in her stomach.
"Oh, you're not walking now, sweetheart." Feeling the car slowly start to accelerate the blonde started looking frantically back and forth between Tom and the road. "Stop. Please. Stop here and I'll walk." Hell, she'd run.
When he didn't show any sign of stopping, only speeding up to the still empty dirt road ahead, Savannah made the decision that she was going to jump out. And hopefully not break anything in the process.
Finger on the seat belt button and other reaching slowly for the door handle, she didn't notice Tom finally glance over at her. The last thing she felt was a hand grab her hair, close to her head and a sharp pain before it all went black as her head was smashed into the window, knocking her unconcious.
