SUPER LONG POST:
Buckle up guys.
Okay, so I usually only post stupid silly little HCs, but this one has been PLAGUING my mind for the last few days, and I need to get it out.
Lawrence is schizophrenic.
Now let me explain:
Lawrence only developed schizophrenia after the bathroom trap, after he escaped and was quite literally groomed into being an apprentice it was only then that it started to dawn on him about how much that fucked him up. At first, it was just insanely bad survivor's guilt. Which then turned into debilitating nightmares and delusions, he'd be constantly worried that John (or Amanda/Hoffman) would suddenly turn on him and throw him back in there, and he'd cover all his windows and all his mirrors because he was worried someone was watching him.
And then it evolved into horrible hallucinations, He'd see X's on the walls, he'd see cameras out of the corner of his eye, he'd hear gunshots and the ringing of a phone, he'd be lying in bed and see Adam sitting beside him, his eyes unseeing and his lips blue, he'd look down at his cluttered desk, and see a bloodied hacksaw for just a split second. And he'd never tell anyone about this, he'd never see a therapist and he'd never get medicated because 'it was all in his head, it wasn't affecting him physically'. And it would only be addressed when John was to inevitably find out. What happens then? idk I didn't think that far.
I really needed that out of my system. I want to think about it further, so leave your ideas in the comments. Xoxo.
