Turn a Blind Eye - Dell & Emilia
blind-discordâ:
Dell made a motion to one of the goons, who handed Emilia a towel. âI can smell the sweat from that mask over here.â He said, barely catching the tenders they chucked at him. Yes. Best plan. Throw food at the blind kid. Great idea. Even with the warning that definitely didnât come fast enough.
âYeah, Iâm not surprised. BS was talking about something or other about that, I dunno. Iâm just here to do what I do and otherwise stay out of the way till Iâm likeâŠ.not a kid?â He crunched down on a tender and leaned back in his seat.
He pushed his sunglasses up into his hair so he could direct a dirty look almost Emiliaâs way when they mentioned theme parks. The checker patterned eyes pointed a few inches to the villains left.
âNo theme parks. Not for a little while still.â He shuddered. âMaybe not ever again. Something fun sounds good, though. Anything else in mind?â He carefully felt around for the coffee, batting away the hands of a goon who tried to help him. He could find his own damn coffee by himself thank you very much.
âDunno, trampoline park? We go and throw glass bottles off the bridge at passing toddlers?â A beat and Emilia tapped their head, âThereâs a zero gravity place that opened, like one with real powers. You can float around and shit but I guess that could get dicey. Um, we could-â
What could they do? Emilia was busy and needed to work now more than ever and Dell- well, he was sixteen. âI mean I could always ask Tanit to torrent a few shitty movies for us, the ones that never shut up.â
That could work, if they were full of sound. Or video games. Maybe some audio drama where they both got angry at the ditsy protagonist- but if they wanted to do that they might as well read one of Emiliaâs books. They grunted, kicking their feet up. Yeah, this left them at a loss.Â
âI finally have time off and I donât know what to do with it.â
