Turn a Blind Eye - Dell & Emilia
sawdrenched:
“Dunno, trampoline park? We go and throw glass bottles off the bridge at passing toddlers?” A beat and Emilia tapped their head, “There’s a zero gravity place that opened, like one with real powers. You can float around and shit but I guess that could get dicey. Um, we could-”
What could they do? Emilia was busy and needed to work now more than ever and Dell- well, he was sixteen. “I mean I could always ask Tanit to torrent a few shitty movies for us, the ones that never shut up.”
That could work, if they were full of sound. Or video games. Maybe some audio drama where they both got angry at the ditsy protagonist- but if they wanted to do that they might as well read one of Emilia’s books. They grunted, kicking their feet up. Yeah, this left them at a loss.
“I finally have time off and I don’t know what to do with it.”
“The trampoline park was fun.” Dell muttered, shoving a chicken tender into his mouth. He turned the coffee in his hand as he deliberated dipping a chicken tender into it. That wouldn’t be very good, right? Well, you never knew until you tried.
“Zero grav sounds like a good time, but I guess the question would also be if either of us have the energy to really do anything.” He carefully pried the lid off of his coffee and set it aside. Did it end up on the floor? From the sound of it hitting carpet, yes.
He dipped his chicken tender into his coffee and took a bite. Interesting. Not necessarily good, but interesting. He could practically hear the disgusted looks on his goons’ faces.
“Heard there was a weird ass haunted house set up a few blocks away. We could always try that.”
