Pairing: Adam Faulkner Stanheight x Lawrence Gordon (chainshipping)
Synopsis: For @sawlentines2026 prompt: Free/Valentine. Adam goes on a “date”. Lawrence makes a promise.
Word Count: 1240
CW: obsessive/possessive relationship, kidnapping, non-con drug use
Adam became aware of the sound of his breathing first. The slow hum and hiss of it almost lulled him back into unconsciousness, maybe that's why he had been asleep for so long. How long had he been there? His neck was tense from the weight of his hanging head. He rolled his head back against the back rest behind him. He tried to swallow but his tongue was thick and his mouth felt like it was full of cotton. The room was relatively dim but he still felt compelled to blink against the flickering light in front of him when he opened his eyes. He groaned.
"Oh good. You're awake." The voice came from behind him, vaguely familiar in his semiconscious state.
Adam angled his head to try to see who was speaking to him. They walked into his line of sight and sat in the chair next to him. Adam became more aware of the setting in front of him: white table cloth, candles, a fine table setting.
"What's—" he started.
"I was beginning to worry about your food getting cold." His host leaned forward to pour wine into his glass. Adam knew who it was now.
"Lawrence—"
"I kept it warm in the oven for you. I hope you're not offended that I already ate. You were out for much longer than expected." They stood and disappeared from view.
Adam tried to stand and realized it was impossible. He twisted his hands, plastic zip-ties bound his hands behind his back and dug into the skin of his wrists. When he tried to push his feet away he noted that they were similarly bound. His ankles were bound together with zip-ties after looping his legs around the back of the chair legs, leaving his legs spread wide to straddle the chair. A strap held his chest to the back of the chair, keeping him from attempting to wriggle away.
"What the fuck is this?" He hissed when Lawrence returned.
"What does it look like?" Lawrence asked, setting the plate down in front of him. "Portobello Wellington."
Adam didn't answer. He squirmed in his chair. Lawrence cut up the Wellington and presented a small portion to Adam's mouth. Adam twisted his face away, refusing the food. Lawrence sighed heavily.
"Don't be so stubborn. I spent a lot of time making this for you."
"I didn't ask you to do that." Adam hissed.
"You didn't need to. It's Valentine's Day."
Adam stared at him blankly. "What?"
"It's Valentine's Day."
"Is this…supposed to be some kind of date?"
"Yes. Exactly. Eat this." Lawrence presented the small piece of food to Adam's mouth again. This time Adam accepted it, swallowing it down immediately without really tasting it. Lawrence frowned.
"This isn't…why didn't you just ask?" Adam huffed.
"Would you have said yes?"
"Well…no."
"Then what's the point of asking?"
"The point is that I didn't want to go on a date!" Adam voice rose in anger. "And I definitely didn't want to be tied up and have food forced down my throat!"
Lawrence shook his head.
"I think you'll really like it if you just tasted it." He insisted as he presented another piece to Adam's mouth.
"Fine. Fine." Adam said.
Adam took the piece of Wellington off the fork and chewed it slowly. It was good. The shell was flaky and buttery. The inside was a spiced vegetable filling surrounding a thick portobello mushroom cap. The texture of the mushroom was firm but not dry. The bite melted on the tongue. There was a slightly sharp edge to it from the red wine sauce that was drizzled on top. Adam nodded.
"It's good." He admitted.
Lawrence smiled and presented him some wine which he gladly accepted.
"Can I go now?" Adam huffed.
"No. After you've finished dinner I have dessert planned for you too."
"Why are you doing this?"
"I can't spoil you for Valentine's Day?"
"I don't want you to!" Adam huffed.
Lawrence sighed heavily. "That's too bad." His hand came to rest on Adam's thigh and Adam came to the sudden realization that these weren't his clothes.
"You dressed me?"
"I wanted you to wear something nice, and I think this color looks great on you." Lawrence pulled at the open neck of the Prussian blue button up. The shirt was tucked into black dress pants.
Adam huffed. He was beginning to sense that this was hopeless. He was bound, still weak and disoriented from being drugged, and Lawrence could easily overpower him. Finally, he resigned himself to endure the "date" without major resistance. This seemed to please Lawrence, who was taking great pleasure in feeding him by hand.
When his dinner plate was empty and Lawrence had poured almost an entire bottle of wine down his throat, Adam was feeling a little bolder.
"Don't you have a wife you should be taking out for Valentine's Day?" Adam huffed, writhing against his binds.
Lawrence's face twisted angrily. "You know she's my ex-wife."
"Shouldn't you be trying to win her back?"
"She has another date tonight."
"Oh! So that's why you're doing this! You're upset that your wife is seeing someone else and you can't get a date."
"I wanted to spend Valentine's Day with you." Lawrence insisted.
"We both know that's not true."
"Adam…" Lawrence's voice was low and threatening.
Adam wasn't to be deterred. He was angry and no amount of wine was going to change that.
"Maybe if you had cooked like this for your wife, she wouldn't have left you."
Lawrence's face writhed with barely controlled rage. His hand coiled into a tight fist that he slammed onto the surface of the table, making the dish wear jump and clatter.
"Why can't you just behave?" He asked.
"Why can't you take no for an answer?"
Lawrence abruptly stood, almost knocking his chair over behind him. He retreated into the kitchen. Adam tried to wedge his hands out of the zip ties. Lawrence set down a plate with a large slice of cake on it in front of Adam.
"Dark chocolate Devil's food with raspberry mousse." He said curtly.
"Um…thank you?"
Lawrence gripped Adam's hair in his hand and ripped his head back, with his other hand he swiped the dessert and shoved it into the back of Adam's mouth. Adam struggled underneath him. The wooden chair creaked from the pressure of their struggle. Lawrence forced the food down into Adam's throat, forcing the younger man to make painful swallows to keep from aspirating the spongy cake. When it was over Adam was left coughing and hacking. Lawrence sighed heavily. He disappeared again then returned with a warm washcloth that he used to scrub Adam's face clean in spite of Adam's struggling.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Adam panted.
Lawrence became very serious as he leaned in. "Listen to me: you're mine."
"What?"
"You're mine. What we went through binds us together, there is no escaping that."
"What are you talking about?"
"This," Lawrence gestured between them, "is going to happen. You can't escape it."
Adam's eyes were wide as he scanned Lawrence's face, looking for any sign that this was a joke or a misinterpretation, but Lawrence seemed as serious as he could be.
"I…I…," he stuttered.
"It's okay. You don't need to say anything. I'll take care of everything."
Pairing: Adam Faulkner Stanheight x Lawrence Gordon (chainshipping)
Synopsis: For @sawlentines2026 prompt: keepsake. Lawrence keeps a reminder of his trap-mate with him at work.
Word Count: 464
CW: fluff
Lawrence rolled the small glass jar between his hands, listening to the soft tinkle of the metal object contained within rolling around. He wondered what Adam might think if he knew that he had this. Would he think it's morbid? Would he be scared? Maybe he would think it's charming. Probably not, Lawrence thought. He'd probably think it's demented. Better that he don't know.
Lawrence sighed and set the jar on his desk. He leaned back in his chair. The bullet from Adam's shoulder rested in the bottom of the jar. Lawrence knew the surgeon that had repaired Adam's shoulder. He knew that they had a nasty habit of keeping interesting bits and bobs that they removed from patients. It was a harmless collection, though it wasn't strictly ethical. A bullet wasn't particularly interesting for a trauma surgeon, but a bullet from a Jigsaw victim, a bullet that had been a part of a Jigsaw trap? That was definitely an interesting bit, so they kept it. Lawrence traded his continued silence about their morbid collection for the bullet. Blackmail wasn't strictly ethical either, but the bullet had sentimental value to him, and after everything he went through, he felt like he was entitled to it.
It was a morbid reminder of everything they went through but, more importantly to Lawrence, it was a reminder that Adam was alive. Adam was alive and safe, and the risk Lawrence had taken hadn't killed him. Lawrence sighed a deep breath and picked the jar back up. He rolled it around a few more times before dropping it into the top drawer of his desk and locking the drawer. He closed up his office for the evening and drove home.
When Lawrence arrived home he was greeted by the low drone of the television on in the other room. Adam was sprawled across the couch, deep asleep. The television was turned on to old sci-fi reruns, right now it was an episode of The Twilight Zone, five toys trapped in a barrel think they're alive. It made Lawrence feel empty and alone. Lawrence considered it for a moment, then shook the feeling off. He turned back to Adam whose jaw was slightly agape as he was slumped back into the pillows. Lawrence leaned down to kiss him and he felt Adam smile under his mouth.
"Hey." Adam's voice was rough with sleep.
"Hey." Lawrence whispered.
"You just get home?" Adam murmured, eyes still closed.
"Yeah." Lawrence kissed his forehead. "Go back to sleep."
Adam only nodded and rolled over, he fell asleep right away. The younger man had so much difficulty with sleep lately Lawrence didn't want to keep him up. Lawrence smiled. The bullet was gone, safely tucked away in his desk. Adam was alive and safe.

Pairing: Adam Faulkner Stanheight x Mark Hoffman (HoffHeight)
Synopsis: Adam helps Hoffman test out a new device. Hoffman takes advantage of the situation. For @sawlentines2026 prompt: restraint
Word Count: 938
CW: dub con handjobs, bondage
"There. That seems to work well." Hoffman said as he adjusted the strap around Adam's forehead.
Adam glanced around as much as he could, being restrained as he was.
"What's this supposed to do again?" He asked as he pulled at his wrist.
"It uh…it twists the limbs, until they break. We're calling it The Rack."
"Mmhmm."
Hoffman could tell Adam had a sarcastic comment that he was holding back on. He was waiting to be freed from the device before saying something snide. It was an unusual level of restraint for Adam and that amused him. He liked having Adam like this.
"I just wanted to see if all the restraints were well attached, if those don't work then the whole thing comes apart."
"Seem okay to me." Adam said.
"Struggle a little."
Adam scoffed. "Sorry?"
"Put a little pressure on them to make sure they'll hold. Struggle."
Adam drew a breath, but if he had something to say about it, he bit his tongue. He tugged at the restraints half heartedly.
"They seem fine." He said. "Can you please let me out of here?"
Hoffman smiled and stepped closer. "You barely tried."
"Hoffman."
"Are you getting nervous? This isn't for you."
"Sure but it can still twist my limbs off, so let me out."
Hoffman grinned. "Then struggle."
Adam huffed and made a somewhat stronger effort to free himself.
"Do you get off on this?" He huffed.
Hoffman lifted an eyebrow, impressed that Adam would say something so inflammatory in his current position.
"Maybe I do." He said, reaching for Adam's belt.
"Hey. Hey!" Adam tugged at the restraints.
Hoffman opened Adam's pants and slid his hand in, grasping Adam's cock. Adam groaned, he arched into the touch.
"Do you get off on this?" Hoffman purred against his ear.
"N…no." Adam panted.
"I don't know. It kind of seems like you do."
Hoffman fished Adam's half hard cock from his pants and continued loosely stroking him. Adam squirmed underneath him, pulling at the restraints with more force now.
"This…I…I think that this…I mean, I don't…ah! I don't think this is what…ah…this is supposed to be used f…ah…for." Adam struggled to get the words out.
"We're just testing out the restraints." Hoffman said calmly.
Adam struggled to keep his breaths even. He shivered under Hoffman's touch. Hoffman grasped him a little more firmly and stroked him a little quicker. Adam gasped at the change in pacing and started panting heavily.
"That's it." Hoffman cooed as edged the younger man along. When he sensed that Adam was getting close he withdrew.
Adam groaned, yanking at the restraints in frustration. "Fuck you." He hissed.
"What's that?" Hoffman asked, leaning into him.
Adam was quiet this time. Hoffman tilted his head but grasped the man's cock again. His strokes were firm but unhurried. Adam whimpered under his touch.
"That's better." Hoffman said.
Adam's breath quickened as he pulled uselessly at the restraints.
"Why are you so obsessed with Lawrence?" Hoffman finally asked. He had Adam exactly where he wanted him, so he decided a little interrogation was in order.
"W…what?" Adam panted, his eyes were closed. Hoffman could tell he was trying to focus on the sensation more than anything, so he slowed his pace. Adam groaned.
"Why are you so obsessed with Lawrence?"
"I'm not obsessed with him."
"Aren't you? You want him. You follow him around like a dog."
Adam's face curled into a snarl at the insinuation. Hoffman stroked him a little more quickly to distract him. He shuddered.
"We went… through a lot together." He said finally.
Hoffman nodded. "Sure, but-"
"But what?" Adam cut him off.
Under the heavy lids of his eyes he was glaring at Hoffman. His expression was half arousal and half hate. Hoffman bit his lip. He's really fucking something. The intensity in Adam's eyes made him melt. He stroked Adam more quickly, bringing him to the edge again. Adam whimpered.
"I'm just saying," Hoffman continued, "I could take care of you just as well. Maybe even better."
Adam huffed a laugh. "Sorry Hoff," he shuddered an exhale, "but we don't really have that history."
Hoffman frowned, he smoothed his thumb over the plump head of Adam's cock, making the younger man's mouth drop open and eyes roll back slightly. They shivered against the touch, sagging their weight into the restraints, anticipating release, but Hoffman held him captive.
"I just don't know what you see in him." Hoffman whispered.
He circled his thumb around Adam's sensitive head. Adam trembled, but didn't say anything. Hoffman frowned, it was getting late, he had proven what he wanted to, and he didn't feel like he was actually getting anywhere with Adam. This was quickly becoming a useless exercise. He pushed Adam's erection back into his pants and zipped him up. Adam panted.
"H…hey…what are you…"
"I think we're done here. The restraints seem to work." Hoffman undid the restraints, freeing Adam.
Adam stepped down from the Rack and pulled himself together a little, he was flushed, clearly embarrassed. Hoffman noticed the tension in his jaw and knew he was angry.
"When you're done chasing after Lawrence and want someone to take care of you, you know where to find me." Hoffman said simply.
Adam's face twisted into a hateful glare again. "I don't need anyone to take care of me."
"Never said you did."
Adam's nostrils flared in rage and it was all Hoffman could do not to bend him over and run him through. He's really something when he's angry.
Pairing: Adam Faulkner Stanheight x Mark Hoffman (HoffHeight)
Synopsis: Adam offers Hoffman a small kindness when visiting Angelina’s grave. For @sawlentines2026 prompt: flowers.
Word Count: 465
CW: angst
Hoffman stood over the grave of his sister, lost in thought. If thought alone could bring her back, he wouldn't even be in this place, he would've untwined the grip of death and brought her home. He drew a breath and closed his eyes, exhaled as he let his head fall back. There was nothing that could change this.
When he opened his eyes he found Adam bending forward to place a small bouquet of flowers in front of the gravestone. Hoffman glanced around, trying to determine where the younger man had come from. He wasn't expecting him here.
"Stanheight? Where did you come from?" Hoffman asked, his voice was quiet, without its usual bite.
Adam looked up at him. "I have some photos for you. Given the day and all, I figured you would be here. It felt rude to show up without something to pay my respects."
Hoffman frowned. "Given the day?"
"Well…it's her birthday right?"
"Yes, but how do you know what?" Hoffman turned slightly to look more directly at Adam.
Adam just shrugged. "I know a lot of things. And it's…y'know…" He gestured vaguely at the tombstone which proudly displayed her birth and death dates.
Hoffman sighed and nodded slowly. "Right."
They stood in silence for a minute before Adam drew in a sharp breath.
"Listen, I've never been really good at this, but I've lost people too," Adam started, "so I guess I'm trying to say…I'm really sorry. I'm sorry for what happened to her and I'm sorry for your loss."
Hoffman stared at him. Adam held his eye contact for only a moment before it became too much.
"For what it's worth," he continued, "she got to see the best of you."
Hoffman frowned, he wanted to ask Adam what he meant by that, but he already knew. Angelina had passed before he had become this, and that was probably a blessing. Of course, it occurred to him, if she had never passed then it was likely that he never would've become this. Life is a funny thing, was all he thought. They fell into silence again for a while.
"I…I should be off." Adam said. "I'll leave the photos in your car."
Hoffman only nodded in response. Adam took that as his cue and turned away.
"Adam." Hoffman called after him without looking.
Adam turned to face him, so Hoffman looked over to meet his eye.
"Thanks."
Adam shrugged. "It's cool."
Hoffman nodded. Adam shoved his hands in his pockets and shuffled away, the collar of his jacket turned up against the wind. He disappeared down the path. Hoffman stood at the grave for a while longer, staring at the flowers Adam had left. He let himself finally be warmed by this small kindness.
Pairing: Adam Faulkner Stanheight x Lawrence Gordon (chainshipping)
Word Count: 1713
Synopsis: Lawrence saves Adam from a bar fight. Adam makes a drunken confession. For @sawlentines2026 prompt: codependent.
CW: emotional manipulation, dub-con, drunken manipulation, pov of someone taking advantage of someone being drunk
Since his divorce, it wasn't unusual for Lawrence to go out drinking with some of his residents after a long week. After a particularly challenging day on the floor he drove out to their usual dive bar and wasn't surprised to find a group of his residents waiting there for him. He paid for their first round and then let them get as out of hand as they pleased. He felt it was good for them. They need to blow off a little steam and that's what people came to these dive bars to do anyway. They weren't hurting anything.
Lawrence's attention was drawn to the end of the bar when he noticed a group of his students shifting as if they were gathering into a fight. He walked into the middle of the group, pushing them apart and was surprised to find a young man strung out between them. Adam. He hadn't expected to see the photographer here. Lawrence had always kept Adam as a separate and distinct part of his life, never to interfere with his "real" life. The sight of him now irritated him. Two of his residents were holding the younger man, while a third was punching him.
"Hey, lay off." Lawrence grabbed Adam by the collar and pulled him away from the rowdy residents.
"But…" One of the younger ones began.
"But nothing." Lawrence countered.
"He was talking shit about you." An older resident informed him. "Said you were a cheater and liar."
Lawrence rolled his eyes, but tightened his grip on Adam's collar. This was getting out of hand.
"I'll handle him." He assured his students. "He's just some drunk asshole."
"We can take him." The youngest resident said, puffing up with pride.
Lawrence shook his head. "I've got him. You all stay out of trouble. I expect this week's records on my desk by Monday."
They nodded solemnly.
"I mean it, stay out of trouble." He warned them as he pushed Adam towards the exit.
Adam resisted as he was pushed out the door.
"Let go of me!" He hissed. Lawrence realized how slurred his words were. Adam was drunk, very drunk. He pushed him onto the hood of his car while he unlocked it.
"Get in." Lawrence said, gesturing through the passenger door as he opened it.
"Make me." Adam slurred back.
Lawrence grabbed Adam by the hair and unceremoniously shoved him into the car. He didn't say anything until they had pulled out onto the street and were driving at a good clip.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Lawrence asked.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Adam countered ineffectually.
Lawrence rolled his eyes.
"You never go to that bar. Why were you there?" Lawrence asked.
"Are you saying what bar I can't go to now? You're not my dad, Larry."
"I'm not saying you can't go. I'm saying you don't. So why were you there tonight? And why were you harassing my residents?"
"I wassint harrassin anyone." Adam huffed. "Jus tellin' em the truth 'bout you."
Adam narrowed his eyes at Lawrence, and it was difficult for the doctor to keep a straight face. The young man looked so ridiculous, he was fabulously drunk. Drunk in a way that sent a shiver down Lawrence's spine. He reconsidered taking Adam back to his apartment and instead turned onto the highway towards his own home. Adam didn't seem to notice.
"Are you trying to ruin my reputation?"
Adam shrugged. "Maybe." He huffed.
"Why?"
"Why are you out wi' them anyway?" Adam glared at him.
Lawrence laughed. "Are you jealous?"
"Me?!" Adam forced a laugh. "Nah. I'm not jealous. What the fuck do I have to be jealous of? If somebody wants your washed up, sloppy seconds ass, they can have it. That's pathetic."
"Mmhmm." Lawrence nodded.
"I'm not jealous Larry." Adam hissed.
"Good. That's good." Lawrence agreed.
"Yeah. It is good."
"Mmhmm." Lawrence smiled as he pulled onto his street.
Adam now seemed confused. "Where the fuck are we?"
"I'm bringing you home."
"This isn't my apartment building."
"I know, it's my house." Lawrence said simply as he pulled up his driveway and into his garage. He was thankful for his connected garage in case Adam decided to make a scene getting out of the car.
"Why did you bring me to your house, you fucking creep?" Adam hissed.
"I don't know where you live." Lawrence lied as he stepped out of the vehicle.
He absolutely knew where Adam lived, but he couldn't let Adam know that he knew. Lawrence had ways of finding these things out, and he kept tabs on Adam's activities. Adam didn't need to know that though, and right now it served Lawrence well not to tell him the truth.
Lawrence opened up the passenger door and gestured for Adam to get out. Adam didn't move. He crossed his arms stubbornly and stared straight forward. Lawrence sighed heavily and reached in. He grabbed a fistful of Adam's hair and pulled him out.
"If I didn't know any better, I'd think you like be yanked around by your hair." Lawrence cooed.
Adam pulled away. "Let me go!" He stumbled over his own feet as he stepped back.
Lawrence lifted an eyebrow. He's so drunk, he thought, he's adorable.
"Should I call you a cab?" Lawrence asked.
Adam just stared at him blankly.
"Hello?" Lawrence asked as he stepped closer. "Should I call you a cab?"
"Fuck off." Adam huffed.
Lawrence snatched him by the throat, pulling him in roughly against his chest.
"Don't get yourself in over your head." He purred into Adam's ear.
When Adam didn't resist he led him into the house. They were both quiet as they entered the kitchen. Lawrence gestured into the connected living room.
"You can take a seat."
Adam stayed close to Lawrence. Lawrence cornered him in against the counters and stroked his hair back, he smiled. Adam glared at him, still playing the part of the angry drunk, he wasn't softening to Lawrence's advances.
"You're drunk." Lawrence commented.
"Could be drunker." Adam huffed.
"Then let me pour you a drink."
Lawrence pulled away. He moved to the cabinets and poured Adam a glass of whiskey. He pressed it into the young man's hand. Adam seemed to sense that this was a challenge and tipped the glass back into his mouth. He took the glass down in two swallows. Lawrence was impressed but also a little concerned. He wouldn't have poured so much if he had known Adam was going to drink it so fast.
"You should really sit down." He said as he peeled the glass out of Adam's hand.
Adam rolled his eyes. "Whatever." He huffed as he flopped back into an arm chair.
Lawrence didn't bother calling a cab, he just waited, giving the alcohol a little bit of time to work its magic. He washed the drink glasses. When he immerged from the kitchen Adam was looking significantly more pliable. He had tipped over from being an angry drunk to being the level of drunk that turned him into soft putty in Lawrence's hands.
"You look a little warm." Lawrence said.
Adam's eyes were heavily lidded. He had slumped into the seat, his shoulders relaxed back and his knees dropped open to the sides. He barely lifted his head to address Lawrence when he spoke.
"You should take your jacket off." Lawrence pressed.
Adam stared at him for a moment, his eyelids drooping, before he reached for the zipper of his jacket and slowly began peeling it off. That's much better, Lawrence thought as he approached. He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face. Fortunately, Adam seemed too drunk to notice. He can't even see that he's losing.
"Take off your shoes." Lawrence's tone was commanding, he was testing what Adam would tolerate in this state.
Adam just grunted and pushed his shoes off. Lawrence smiled and when he reached the younger man, he pushed his hand through their hair. His fingers became tangled in the messy curls. Adam needed a haircut, Lawrence would figure that out later. Adam leaned his head into Lawrence's body, giving himself up. Lawrence was so enthralled with Adam's sudden submission that he almost didn't hear Adam mumble something unintelligible against his thigh.
"What's that?" Lawrence asked.
Adam shook his head, refusing to answer. He brought his arms up to wrap around Lawrence's waist, but the older man stepped back away from him. This upset Adam's balance and in his drunken state he lurched forward off the chair and onto the floor. He was on his hands and knees, grasping at Lawrence's pant legs.
"Wait! Please don't leave! Please…" He begged drunkenly.
Lawrence remained firm. "What did you say?"
"I said, 'I need you'." Adam sat back on his heels and tried to look up at Lawrence, his body swayed as tried to maintain eye contact with him.
"Oh." Lawrence said quietly, as if embarrassed.
"I need you." Adam closed his eyes. "Please, I need you. I don't…I can't…"
Lawrence kneeled in front of him so they were eye to eye. He grasped Adam's jaw and pulled him slightly forward to make him look at him. Adam's eyes opened, he struggled to keep his balance and ended up on his hands and knees, head in Lawrence's hand.
"Can't what?" Lawrence pressed.
Adam shook his head, but Lawrence tightened his grip on his jaw, making him wince.
"I have no idea who I am without you. Please…" Adam's voice became quiet and worn, "please don't leave. I need you."
Lawrence pondered this for a while, thinking over the consequences of accepting this. He knew he shouldn't encourage Adam. He knew he shouldn't enable the worst of his habits. He knew he shouldn't allow Adam to foster a reliance on him. but Adam was here on the floor, on his hands and knees, staring up at him with his incredibly large eyes. The truth was, Lawrence needed him too, in his own way. He felt powerful with Adam's head in his hand, having brought the man to his hands and knees. Alison and Diana were gone, he needed someone to live for, someone to achieve for. How could he possibly turn him away?

Happy @sawlentines2026 ! Here is the first chapter of my on-the-run fic. Excited to share the incoming chapters too… Oh… how the spiral has just begun…
Happy Valentine's Day! For me, uh, the only plan I have for today is posting for the final day of sawlentines week! But hey, I can live vicariously through shortfilmshipping just fine.
A Saw Trap In And Of Itself: a little bad chainshipping something I wrote for the Codependent theme for sawlentines instead of taking a nap or working on more important wips. I have never posted fanfic on tumblr before so this is gonna be new and weird.
“Adam, please. No one else would understand you like I can, after that experience we shared—“
“You were gonna kill me, Lawrence.” He spits the name like it’s a bitter taste in his mouth, and avoids using the affectionate, shortened “Larry” instead. “I’m sure I could find someone who could understand me a little better than you did.”
“I… shot you, yes. I’m sorry, so sorry... But I’m a doctor and I know exactly where and how you’re hurt because I put the bullet there. let me fix it, please, let me wipe the blood away!”
“You know all the facts on the surface, but you don’t know how it felt for me when that bullet landed.” He grins suddenly, sharp and pointed. “This is exactly why you were locked up with me in that place to begin with. Some things never change, huh?”
Lawrence sighs, with a harsh edge to it. “The fact that you’re you never changes. Suspicious, sharp-witted and crude… so, so distant. We’re not as different as you’d think.”
“We’re more different than you could possibly imagine, Larry.” This time, the nickname is spoken mockingly and with poison. “It’s true, I am pretty damn distant! Because I’m fucking dead!”
“No… you can’t be… there’s no way that you… that I…”
“You can’t fix shit. Game over, Larry.”
He awoke with a start, gasping and clutching at his rapidly racing heart.
Another one of these damned dreams. He hated them, because he never knew if they were just dreams or if he was actually being haunted. The guilt always felt so vivid, he always felt so real…
If ghosts just happened to be real, and Adam really was tormenting him every night… he’d accept it, without question. All the insults, venom, and genuine hatred. As horrible as it made him feel, as much as it lit up his nervous system with the same fear he’d felt back then… he’d still accept it. Because he could see him again. At least he was still there,
He wanted to see him, right? If he was willingly choosing to haunt him through the nights?
He wanted him. And everything was ok, like nothing bad ever happened.
