“But why mama. . . what’s wrong with camp?”

“But what’s the big deal? Lots of kids do it.” She said quietly.

“I know that a lot of kids do it, but none of my kids have ever done it.”

Sawyer shrugged and frowned, “Maybe they were scared. . . I’m not scared mama.”

“Please please please, can we sign up for one though, pleaseeee. .. “ She said putting her hands together in a pleading way.

“I don’t know, baby. I’m really going to have to look into it and see what mommy thinks about it, too. That’s a huge decision to make.”

Sawyer nods her head and smiles, “Yes! I would like it lots and lots and lots. I think it’d be a lot of fun.”

Sawyer giggles and shakes her head, “Well I don’t wanna drive you nuts.” she said before nodding excitedly. “I really really do!”

“I’ll look into camp and see what I can find. Do you want to go to a day camp or sleep away camp?” Shay asks her out of curiosity .

Sawyer has to pause and think about it for a while before smiling. “Sleep away!!”

“Mmm maybe a little bit but I don’t really like doing that stuff.” She shrugged before biting her lip, “Well maybe I can go to a camp that has all that stuff?”

“But why do i have to lay around at all?” She said biting her lip. A sudden pout found her lips and she shook her head, “Why can’t I?”

“Awe come on mummy. . . please can I go a little wild?” She asked before biting her lip. “But I hate being lazy. I wanna go to camp, ride horse, dance my little hiney off.”

“Nope! No more relaxation, I’m gonna play all summer long. I think I sat around ehough for the last million weeks.”

“I did! We had a party and played a lot of games, then we had an extra long recess, it was one of the best days ever!”
