But Marcos and the rest of them chose not to fight along side him, because Viren is not their true king. They realize just how villianous he is. They were not deserters. These soldiers are brave and I love them. This will not be known as them being a "weak link," however, it will be known as them breaking away and believing that there can be an end to all of this war.
