"If you ever decide to age,
Love, invite me.
I'll retire my bones
To make you tea,
And read you poetry."
"All time ever does is pass and all I do is remember."

" What do you weave, 0 ye flower-girls?
With tassels of azure and red?
Crowns for the brow of a bridegroom,
Chaplets to garland his bed,
Sheets of white blossoms new-gathered
To perfume the sleep of the dead."
- 'In the bazars of Hyderabad' by Sarojini Naidu
"This is my letter to the world that never wrote to me, the simple news that nature told me with tender majesty. Her message is commited to hands that I cannot see: for love of her, sweet countrymen, judge tenderly of me."
- Emily Dickinson

Tiny view from a tiny window
"I am not sure that I exist, actually. I am all the writers that I have read, all the people that I have met and all the cities I have visited."
"I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. I slept as never before, a stone on the riverbed, nothing between me and the white fire of the stars but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees. All night
I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness. All night I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better."
- Sleeping in the Forest by Mary Oliver
This town is colder now I think it's sick of us.
2020, you gave me one of the coldest winters ever. I was washing the dishes in the afternoon and couldn't feel my fingers until evening. There is a small patch of sunlight that creeps around at 2pm and I sit by our front door near the welcome mat to enjoy it. My hands are still cold
"I wish everything was quieter and softer and less often."
Happy new years, may this year be kinder.
"I am a spy in the house of me. I report back from the front lines of the battle that is me. I am somewhat nonplused by the event that is my life."
