i mean he probably does know about money, the same way he knows how to play card and other games that also didn’t exist in his time but i find this idea quite funny

The truth Kaiba stans must accept is that even though he has received world-class education in many things and has been taught that winning is the ultimate affirmation of life and the self (because losing is death), he is far more interesting when he's fighting uphill, when winning demands something of him beyond basic questions of talent or skill, when he's struggling, and victory must be metered out drop by drop in order to keep him hopeful and determined (having known the taste of victory, and craving more) but not jaded and bored (boring.)

I HATE how even people in this fandom will boil down one of my fave duels to “haha kaiba would rather kill himself than lose to yugi” when, no, kaiba would rather kill himself than lose mokuba. Because that’s what losing to yugi meant in that duel! At least to him, that’s what it meant. Obviously, yugi and the gang would help him get mokuba back, but kaiba doesn’t know that.

It’s like y’all didn’t even watch the episode, I mean that’s what kaiba’s whole hallucination meant with mokuba drowning in the blue-eyes.

Blowing up orphans in a tank. Rebecca hacking KaibaCorp and Kaiba being like 'nice.' Mai's insane fit. Biblical plague of locusts. Kaiba being entirely unconcerned about said biblical plague of locusts and then shit talking the US military. Mokuba nearly crashing a plane. The sideplot about Rafael being raised on a deserted island by hallucinations(???) of his favourite duel monsters. Mai's insane fit. Sick ass dragons, way more sick ass dragons than a filler arc plot could ever need. They gave Yuugi a sword!!!
