"Oi! Zog off! Dis is my objective!"
Careening back into Orkposting with my new favourite model I've done so far: Ghazghkull Thraka but he has watched Muppet Treasure Island exactly once (Ft. my very professional construction paper backdrop)
I have finished Ghazghkull Thraka, the Prophet of Waaagh, it was very good
Merry Grotmas ya gitz!
Long overdue update on my proxy Kaptin Badrukk model. So overdue, in fact, that GW has since dropped the poor bugger off of the new edition's rules. The original inspiration is still there though, with Badrukk's treasure map loincloth having become a treasure map cape! I'm most likely going to have him serve as a proxy for a big mek with S.A.G. or possibly just a regular old warboss depending on what detachment the army he is in is using. Important thing is that there's a new crewmate for the scallywaaagh! This model is also the first time I tried airbrushing on matte varnish...or for that matter, the first time for me using varnish or an airbrush at all, hence why the lad is a bit on the shiny side. I plan to try to fix that when I get around to doing his base in the style of my army, but he's good enough to call done for now!

WIP of my Kaptin Badrukk proxy model which I started tonight. I'm using the new Ufthak Blackhawk model but swapping out his head and snazzhammer for a few Flash Gitz pieces, as well as glueing on a few extra bits for fun. Its only very slightly modified, but after priming it tonight i'm really liking how it looks so far!

I must say, I’m pretty sure this is what the command interface of any ork vessel of 40k looks like.
How I feel walking into my local game store today, looking the staff behind the counter dead in the eye and saying utterly straightfaced "Hello yes I would like to pre-order the new Ufthak Blackhawk and "Da Big Dakka" please":
Finished painting up some terrain from the Octarius set and it felt like a prime occasion to have a photo op with my killteam, affectionately called "Sgt. Klawkrumpa's Sneaky Gits". Given that the Ork Kommandos box was my first foray into painting 40k minis, there are MANY mistakes and oversights on them that I recognize now... Part of me has considered trying to repaint them, but honestly I like being able to look at them next to my more recent minis and see how i've progressed. Plus, they're Orks so its alright for them to look a bit scuffed as long as they can still WAAAGH just fine!
(Please forgive the less-than-professional photos, i'm literally using construction paper and a cellphone camera. Any tips for better pictures in the future would be welcome lol)
I played a game of Killteam against a friend of mine recently, both of us being very new to it, and I think one of the best things about 40k Orks is that even if you don't really know what you're doing from a gameplay/strategy perspective you can still feel like you're playing your faction correctly if you just pick the "orkiest" option available at all times.
Is running out of cover and into the firing line of multiple genestealer cult operatives purely because there was an enemy within charge range a smart idea? Probably not. Would an Ork do it anyway? Absolutely.
Genestealer cult operative, confidently taking the objective knowing that he is protected by 3 other operatives with guns trained on the point
